One thing I noticed is that these curtain lights 2 have a big control box at the very beginning of the strand. This is usually going to be at the top of the installation and seems really stupid to me. I have to affix that box high up on the wall where it is very visible. Did the original curtain lights have that same set up? I wasn't able to get a good look at your original installation to see if that was the case. This seems to be a major screw up by Govee as it's not easy to hide/mount that box and it should have been designed so that is could be located some distance from the lights. I have the "double wide" set and I can see that setting the two strands up next to each other is going to be a challenge as each set of lights has that box. 🤔☹ Your video is great though, thanks for taking the time to make the content! 👍👍
I think for the price it should have more lights so the images wouldn’t be so pixelated. Also Google or Apple assistant can only change color, on/off and brightness but not create images.
@@artarealmblazer that’s exactly what I was trying to find out. There’s a $20 dollar difference. The video implied they gave you three different extra scenes from the movie. Someone else says better color, app use and brighter. Usually, it’s just a ploy to get more money from you. But If I do get them, I will get the newer version.
I just setup my Curtain 2 and on the app it has wey less gifs than you showed. It doesn't even have the Halloween tab. Just a mixed holiday tab with 3 Halloween gifs. My neighbors family couldn't even tell it was a pumpkin gif that I chose. It was kinda disappointing. Anyone else having the same issue?
so really its not worth upgrading from the curtain lights 1. unless you want a gif which i have no intetest in really. good to know il not be upgrading music and scenes are the same i guess so il keep the 1.... well i have 3 of the curtain lights 1.... but really just for gifs i think govee shoulda added more on other modes to make people upgrade.... because for me a gifs more like for kids not something i even care about. but yeah good to know there the same just with added gifs so il be keeping the curtain lights 1
It did seem like the only extra thing was those three scenes. I did see someone say they were brighter, better color, easier to use with the app. But I don’t see that being true. Though it is only $20 bucks more, so if you’re gonna get them for the first time I’d probably get the newest version.
