This came out shortly before the end of the PS2 cycle and I was so impressed they way they did the game . Really pushed the limits of the PS2 and showed there wasn't that much of a difference with the Xbox if you actually tried . Word of warning , I had a modded PS2 and the OS was on a memory card . Just starting the game with the OS erased it and reformatted the memory card .
This game never ages, I can remember as a kid I could not finish the graveyard level whatsoever, struggling for weeks. Had to call in my older cousin from outside of town to pass the level for me. Good times!
@@mr.nobody5262 You gotta Unlock Black Ops Mode,but in that process, you have to finish hard mode first *Hard Mode All Missions* but to unlock hard mode you gotta finish Normal Mode,that's how you do it, just a warning tho:it will take quite a lot of time to finish those,or if you're a skilled player you can do it kinda fast
One of my all time favorite games growing up im an average gamer i dont really do hard modes unless im comfortable with the game but playing the game on normal and even on easy was hard but ive beaten it such a great game would love for them to remaster it

I have been playing this a lot over the last year and a half and have come to regard it as one of my all time favourite fps games. If anyone remembers it's spiritual sequel Bodycount I would recommend replaying that too. Not as good as Black but worth the low price it goes for pre-owned
Lovely guide! But how do you get 60 fps on PCSX2? Is there some patch I need to install? I seem to be locked to 30 fps and the only way I find to increase it is to increase the game speed.

Complete the game on the Black Ops difficulty to unlock M16 with GL to all missions and difficulties. Golden weapons, despite being shown in the intro, there is no way to release them during the game.

I believe it's the same version. As I'm playing in the Black Ops version, it starts with this silver M16 grenade Launcher. I think Black has the closest to modern graphics out of all the games released on PS2.
Yeah, bear in mind though this is runninng on PC through emulator, frame rate and graphics wise it was identical to watching this very video in 360P.
