good video and job. yes it's a lot of work. electric fences can be a pain at times. some times you can check at night and watch for sparks. take care, be safe and well.

If you can find a old fence charger they call a weed burner it will burn any grass that touches it off it also it will make a crisp snap anywhere it’s shorting( jumping fire )

I wanted one of those but my chicken nets are poly/wire, and it says it would melt the wire where it shorts out. Thanks for the suggestion!

I use a fifty milk charger on my fence it will jump fire if I use short insulations I guess cause I only have maybe five hundred yards of wire on it

Great Video! I’m trying to get my electric fence sorted out. How many ground rods did you end up putting in for your energizer? I think that’s my problem

I used 3 rods 4’ long and around 10’ apart,
I know I have a dead short on metal somewhere because I used to have it a lot hotter. I spent quite a bit of time off camera looking for it but 🤷🏽‍♂️

I been thinking hard about getting a milk cow but just no way can I handle that much milk I do have a cow that I could milk but she’s nursing her calf and I have a heifer that’s due soon but if I milk the cow I have to bottle feed the calf

When I first got into milking I would separate the calf at night and milk the cow in the morning then let the calf have the milk for the rest of the day. Enough milk for everyone that way.
