I see streamers and content creators in general as digital street performers. They put on an interesting act in public, everyone is free to watch as they pass by, and if you like it you may toss a coin.
"The 'Petite Bourgeoisie' refers to a social group within the bourgeoisie that typically includes small business owners, independent artisans, and professionals who are not part of the upper class." Like the chatter said, indie streamers would be petite bourgeoisie, and become less so the more involved they are with some corporation (Phase Connect, Twitch, TH-cam) or if they're using a license or subscription for any of their software or tools.
It's still funny that some random person who read Marx decided to comment that. Lumi's denial is even funnier once you realize these people were still considered part of the peasant class.
@@Billy4321able There are only two kinds of people who know about Marxist theory: Marxists and those who got fed up enough with Marxists that they read their stuff to know why they are so annoying. The latter group exists because the former feels a need to insert it in every conversation.
The viewers aren't really the employer though. And employee makes money for the employer, who then takes a part of that money to pay the employee. But that's not happening here
I mean, it depends on the doctor... If there's someone that needs to be replaced by AI, it's doctors... You want to ask a lot of money just because it takes like nearly a decade to become a doctor and lots of money? Well, here is an infinitely replicable machine that has a snapshot of every doctor skill at superhuman capacity and doesn't get worse with age as it can simply be repaired...
“I think all streamers are just homeless people…” Yeah sure if homeless people had homes, electricity, an expensive PC that can simultaneously run a vtuber program, a streaming platform, and whatever game they’re playing. Not to mention how many of them have their own merch and get sponsors *cough* ExpressVPN *cough* Like what kinda comparison is this 😂
I get the point she's making and I agree but "streamers exist because people allow us to exist" only applies when talking about people making a living off streaming. For everyone else, it's just something fun to do, there's a ton of people streaming to 1-2 people for hours because it's what they enjoy.
Bourgeoisie actually owns stuff of other people, or that other people use. That people pay to use. But that property belongs to them. So, Lumi is not bourgeoisie. Correct me if I'm wrong.
If she owns her own model and computer, then she's like a small business owner where her brand is her identity. But even most small business owners are working class because they need to work for their weekly check. Their money doesn't just create more money on its own.
Petit bourgeoisie, it's related to burgeoisue but not the same. Burgeiosie is basically large business owners, tech magnates, hospital owners, industrialists, etc. Petit burgeoisie is small business owners, doctors, etc. Basically, it's in the middle of the road between working class and bourgeoisie. Overclass are just royals. Then there are aristocrats, they are large land owners, old money rich people, people from political dynasties, etc. Working class, are people in the lower class. They work under burgeoisie/overclass/upper class employers to earn a living. Lastly, there is underclass, who are people that primarily rely on welfare policies to get by. They are poorer than working class and don't the skills/aptitudes to be productive members of society like the burgeoisie/petit burgeoisie/working class. the also dont have the accumulated wealth to live a life of liesure like the upper class.
Aye, that's Handsome Lumi, she dances for nickels.
The homeless person is bougie because they own a cart? Chat is high
True and real, that's why entitled streamers piss me off so much.

Some streamers make more than doctors, but 99% of the rest are working class because they rely on an employer (chat) for their weekly paycheck.
Very few, but it's a short career

Doctor's have way longer career plans though.
@@FriendlyArchpriest We're way closer to replacing streamers with AI then we are replacing Doctors
Well Dizzy Dokuro was stopped by a police suspecting she had drugs.
Make sense they are all beggars.

True and real
That tracks, I’ve experienced plenty of panhandlers yelling slurs at me.
So, Lumi is oficially Lumpenproletariat, with no revolutionary potential watsoever.
Communist analysis of streaming is fucking hilarious

she really went let me eat cake after she was offered fries
Of course she does, she lives in New York.
"Streamers only exist because people allow us to exist."
Lumi, that goes for EVERY profession.
That's not true. Just lookup elastic and inelastic demand. Lumi can disappear overnight, electricity and hospitals likely won't.
Reads Marx's class theory for the first time 🤣
The diffrence is i dont smell the vtuber, their not squatting at the train station and they provide entertainment unlike the homeless.
*glances at Asmongold
Yeah, she's right.
So true Lumi, so true
She is so real
My Russian Royalty Oshi can't be THIS homeless!
Fixable.
When children are allowed on the internet, and haven't been taught how to be normal yet...
