Tamarind And Plum Juice Recipe

    1/2 cup Tamarind (imli)
    2 cups Plum (aloo bhukara)
    2-3 cups water
    1 cup Sugar
    1 tsp salt
    2 tbsp black salt
    Cooking Instructions

    Wash and put plums and tamarind in a large pot. Add water. Bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minute. Smash with pestle to open the skins.

    Turn off heat. Strain through muslin cloth. Discard solids.

    Now in plum tamarind sharbat add water, salt, black salt and sugar in a heavy bottom pan. Heat till all the sugar is dissolved. Let it come to a boil.

    Turn off heat and let it rest.
    You may bottle it now.

    Serving: Mix one part syrup to 3 parts of water. Serve cold 😊
