One of the best CB video's on youtube, and there are a loooooot. I don't agree the opening is even the same. I think they are sooooo different. The most interesting part is where you talk about the trend of perfumes having this constant beast mode performance and people looking for it. The more perfumes I smell, the less I focus on performance. The most beautiful fragrances have progressions and like you say, I don't want to be smelling the same thing for 12+ hours. This to me is the biggest negative on Hacivat. I totally get your comment that Hacivat goes in the same direction off being this synthetic bom, but steer clear from it. But it still is a lot of the same smell for a loooong time. I can't get used to my CB, it smells to synthetic to me, after 7 hours it starts to get pleasant, when the harshness died down and you have the sweet vanilla left.

Mancera’s Cedrat Boise is my daily scent. I’ve never smelled the lemon everyone talks about. For me me it’s a black currant and leather fragrance. It’s very soft and elegant. I get none of the harshness you speak of. In the summer I use it to give longevity to citrus fragrances. A combo of Mancera’s lemon line and Cedrat Boise makes a very nice, refreshing signature scent.

Aventus is cool, but as far as smell alone, Cedrat Boise wins handily..then Elysium, then Aventus Cologne and then Aventus...then Pineapple Vintage, Club Nuit, Hacivat Mont Blanc etc.
I smell a fair amount of synthetics in Aventus as well...the most natural smelling Aventus spinoff to my nose is Elysium.
Cedrat Boise is smoother, much more balanced, goes through it's progressions seamlessly. It will perform differently on different skin types and it projects and lasts 8-9 hrs. Nothing wrong with creed but cedrat is way more smoother and balanced( In this frag heads opinion).

I have all 4 of the Aventus family scents you presented. I think they are all different & have their unique identity; however, after rotating these,and going on the niche hype hunts, I always end back up at the King! Thanzx for your analysis! Be well & blessed brother!

Well done with the review, good effort. Got to say that I’ve had Aventus since 2012, and had 11 bottles of the stuff! I promise you the performance was brilliant in the beginning, then went weaker over the years. And that was for a 120ml bottle. Now it’s 100ml and weak. It’s just a fact.

TroyD247Mall I first noticed around the middle of 2015...up to that point all the bottles were consistently strong and smelled comparable. I purchased the next one and literally sat in my house convincing myself it was a fake. The smell had shifted so much and the performance wasn’t the same. It was like a boxer losing his punch.
Spent the years after chasing what I had in the beginning...I never found it again. Absolutely gutted. I had the best for a few years, it’s just not Aventus as I knew it and it’s hard to swallow. The King has ridden of the original reputation. I’d love people to have sniffed the difference between now and then, they would say the same too.
Respectfully disagree that Cedrat smells synthetic and Aventus smells more pure. Also absolutely disagree with your insinuation that Cedrat is a clone - not even close! Are you suggesting Aventus does not have synthetics? Both smell great! If any other perfume (at the Aventus price point) performed as weak as Aventus, I doubt you would be singing its praises. I expected to hear a fair review, but it appears you have already decided on a winner. Just my 2 scents.
R VS lol it’s funny that u say that because I explicitly said that I made this because I don’t think it’s a clone. It’s really awesome hearing feedback here and on Facebook just proves this is a charged up topic with owners. And I respect any opinion but I said it’s not a clone!
I bought Cedrat Boise just recently because I wanted to see if it's similar to Aventus. Now having both and wearing CB for a whole day, all I can say is that the only similarity is the opening which last for a couple minutes. The opening is probably 60-70% Aventus like. But it quickly changes to the leather smell. The dry down is a complete different scent and that's the biggest difference. It dries down to a warm sweet earthy smell, and in my opinion I don't consider it a fresh type fragrance.
Nice video. Yes I agree they are not clones, Nevertheless CB smells of higher quality to me as far as projection and longevity.

Agree they r def different. It's strange too I'm not big into leather and I def pick it up in Cedrat Boise. I think because I'm not a big fan of the leather accord it jumps out at me stronger than others maybe cuz it's not just this frag that I've had that experience with. The batch of Aventus I have I dont get a ton of vanilla either which sucks cuz I love vanilla wish I did get more lol. These r just subjective things though of how I experience them where as u may experience them differently but I do def agree with u about them being different for sure. Thanks Troy.

I own both too and have to say cedrat boise destroys Aventus in every way imo (: , not that compliments is important to me but Cedrat give me much more compliments too. The problem with many Aventus batches is the smoky birch that almost gives off a metallic smell depending on the weather outside. Cedrat works perfect in any weather even when its scorching hot outside believe it or not (:. Cedrat is not a clone they share some slight similarities from the blackcurrant and fruityness.

Aventus imo is played out. Far too many clones. Tbh am sick of smelling it. I've just ordered a bottle of Cedrat Boise 120ml for £68.

Spot on comparison. I agree with all the inferences you have drawn. Personally, I think both of them belong in the same family of fragrances. But because of the similarity in the opening people are quick to call Cedrat Boise a clone. However, I think it’s a completely different scent. And to me Cedrat Boise is classier and also has greater performance for a fraction of a price, especially over the current batch of Aventus.

Yeah, but for very hot weather, CB is a better choice for the price. 😉
For projection and bang for your buck yeah its to bad aventus dosnt last long cause the depth between the opening and the dry down is so much greater then hacivat. Sometimes hacivat smells off like kinda weird not a crowd pleaser. I've had mixed reactions from people with it never with creed.
Can I ask a question, I'm thinking of buying cedrat boise, but I'm hearing a lot of hate regarding its performance. Do you think this is genuine reformulation or just people going nose blind? Some say it's beast mode, some say skin scent after 30 mins. Please help 😂
If you get a bottle from the 2019+ batch, u're going to get the reformulation which no longer is that strong as it used to be. But if you find someone to sell you a 2018- bottle u're good !

hell..I have both..2019 batch of mancera and 18G01 50ml creed aventus..what batch yours and how many hour you feel the scents?
I think I stated it on the video, I traded my Cedrat Boise almost immediately after. My Aventus is 18B11
