    At 12:45 make sure to inspect the oil pump chain. If stretched it may be hitting the case when right side up. You will see grooves in the case. Always replace oil chain as it has no tensioner. Great video!

    I think I would be scared to let my local Polaris dealership do a job like this...…..seems like the average dealership mechanic would miss at least one crucial step.

    How do you remove cams and chain if engine is seized?

    Is it possible to remove the timing chain without splitting cases? Also what is the purpose of the U shaped retainer other than keeping the chain in place if dropped from the top?

    Yeah I using air tools for taking apart and hand tools for put back together

      The engines are very similar and you can use this video to help you get through the rebuild but we recommend using a service manual for that specific machine as there will be some differences.
