I thought i was watching a portal install video? Next thing I know, I see a bottle of crown and yall are talking about getting hose. 😂 Nah, but amazing video. Thank yall for taking the time to make this. Well done!
I have a set of 74 weld 2 gear portals, an upgrade to the unimog 404 stuff. Some real quality stuff but an absolute nightmare to work with the company. Zero directions, missing parts, ghosted me many times. Hope your luck is better than mine.
If you ever get something damaged in shipment like a bent stud just contact us. We would happily send you a replacement free of charge. It seems like you didn’t get vent hose. That should have been in the kit and if not that is totally our mistake. A phone call and we would have had you hose the next day.
You guys in the business and you haven't talked to anyone about portal thoughts or install? Then again the 20 grand should have covered more but your paying for that machined work they did.
@@Sevencastle we know basics obviously but with this being the first set we own you can only read so much or hear so much before you gotta pay the piper and deal with a set yourself.
@@TrailMilitia Forgot to mention damn that Bronco looks BA the stance it's a different beast now, please do a video driving around the streets or a cruise
I recently got the weight although I do not believe it matters significantly. Fronts 74 are 70LBs and Wolfs are 110LBs the rears are pretty close. It’s not rotational although we do believe it might cause some adjustment of spring rates and things of that nature our BRO science till we go out and test a little more seems like the extra weight should help settle the front a bit.
@@TrailMilitia yeah not rotational but still unsprung. For Toyotas the price difference is currently only $3k (maybe even less with import duties and shipping). It does seem like y’all are a bit biased toward werewolf. Who cares about packaging if it arrives in one piece. Werewolf should have gotten -1 on packaging for sending the wrong part 😂
Yeah bleeding the brakes was the hardest part of the install. DO NOT buy the stage three rack, it's a total waste of money, and I'm glad you got the updated caliper brackets. Hopefully your brake caliper doesn't fall off and punch a hole through your wheel leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere Nevada.
I really appreciate you guys doing this. It’s great feedback for the companies and will improve everyone’s experience going forward. Great stuff!

Nice. Good video on the install. Keeping it real is always good. Now lets see how they wheel!
We are listening…😉 and appreciate the feedback

@@chriscorpus1 damn that sucks
Can you guys do sound comparisons of the portals gears moving? How much whining is there with each brand
Absolutely right now after first 400 miles the 74 Welds are none existent and super quiet. The Werewolfs are definitely noticeable
@TrailMilitia awesome! Good to know. Thanks for the info
Was the bottle of Crown on the list of required parts?
@@EdJZatta it comes standard on installs around here
No clanging and banging filming on the bearing race? What’s an install without that? Its the best part 😅 😂

@ I’m just messing with you. Great video. Esta chingona bro.
That’s why you go with the Tibus portals. They include everything that is required
@@Shawn-d5n we have those as well and not having uprights I would never go with them and the 3 gear setup over these 2 in my opinion
