    Great set up! How much did you invest on your mobile vehicle?

    • @jayvismobilemechanic9250
      @jayvismobilemechanic9250  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi well it’s hard to say when I started I literally started with $3000 including the van and to this day I keep investing and making it better more efficient, my new van I have over $20k with the van and everything in it if not more. But it’s worth it some days bring home $800-1000 in a single day.

      We are usually booked a week out I try and schedule two good paying jobs a day leave some time for quick jobs in between the day. We do about 2-4 jobs a day with a goal of minimum $300 profit a day and it’s not hard to do that with simple jobs

    how wide of a box could you actually fit inside the van? btw setup looks pretty darn nice.

    • @jayvismobilemechanic9250
      @jayvismobilemechanic9250  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you this box is 44''x22'' fits perfect leave about 4'' on both sides. think the widest you can go side to side is 48'' on a connect.

    Love the set up man. May I ask how you mounted it to the van so it won’t move? Any help would be appreciated. I’m setting up something very similar to maintenance my trucks. Thank you much!!!!

    • @jayvismobilemechanic9250
      @jayvismobilemechanic9250  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks I pulled all the drawers and bolted it through the floor with oversized washers underneath and added heavy duty L brackets to the rear of the box. Did the same thing on my newer set up check that one out.

    Is it too heavy for the suspension?
    Did you put a constantly load suspension or airbags?
    Thanks

    • @jayvismobilemechanic9250
      @jayvismobilemechanic9250  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks no at all does not affect the ride what so ever they are made to hold some weight, they are leafspring. My 2016 transit is springs and it also rides smooth with even more weight .

    Thats cute it looks like a toddlers toy van lol rookies. There’s two types of mechanics the ones that know how to work on everything and the ones who only replace drive belts and filters. How can you tell the difference? The type of work vehicle and tools they have. You don’t even have a/c gauges

    • @taylorcheramie6753
      @taylorcheramie6753 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's actually a couple different types of mechanics. Auto body mechaincs are the worst (if you would even call them mechanics). 99 percent are parts changers and not actual mechanics. Real mechanics troubleshoot. Most real mechanics are the ones found working on equipment made from the 50s to the 90s.

    I was thinking about buying a Ford Transit for my mobile mechanic business but I was reading up on it and I learned they have all kinds of problems with their transmissions

    • @jayvismobilemechanic9250
      @jayvismobilemechanic9250  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am always looking for ways to run my business efficiently and by far the transit has been nothing but good all around. I had a few of them with no issues, as long as you keep up maintenance they go for ever.
