    I'm a Resident indian. I have investments in MF thru a full service broker. Can I register in MFU and buy Direct funds? Also does it shows our portfolio of funds holding and various other reports including capital gains statement for a particular period for the tax purposes - thanks

    Thanks for another great Video. I read somewhere that NRIs from Canada and US can only invest in some limited Mutual Funds in India (only some fund houses allow it). Does MFUtility allow Canadian NRIs to invest in all mutual funds? How do they let this happen?

    Thank you sir once again for in depth video. How is MFU different from Zerodha? They both do not charge fees. I understand MFU is a joint venture between all MF house and Zerodha is private. Also , isn’t having a demat account more secure by nature ?

    Sir,I request you to please come up with a video about the financial planning for the Indian seafarers who are at sea for more than 6 months to fulfill the NRI status.
    Also,please note that the seafarers don't have any resident address abroad and therefore they reside in India itself once they are back from sailing.

    But to invest in Mutual Funds, you do not need a Demat account, right? You need a Demat account only if you want to buy stocks.

    MFutility can automatically debit money from bank account? In coins we have to provide eMandate and then money added to zerodha account. Big process in coins but user friendly to see profits, generate reports..

      If you want to invest through a distributor, you need to feed these details . Your distributor will give you this information.
      If you want to invest through us, then you can mention ARN 47075 AND EUIN 052770.

    There is no one supporting US NRI to invest in indian mutual funds. There are some 3rd party people but they are only allowing Regular funds not Direct MF.
    Regular funds expense ratio is crazy.
    Does anyone know how to invest in direct mutual funds being an NRI? Please share. Thank you!

      You can invest through international wealth platforms .. There is no concept of direct investment with mutual fund house like in India to best of my knowledge

    Sir, I have already invested in ULIP Mutual Funds via ICICI Prudential, but i see some posting reponse from you saying, that US Citizens with NRI status cannot invent in Mutual Funds ?. i am hoping to invest the insurance ULIP MF proceeds into a lumpsum mutual fund investment.     Which will be a good way to purchase any mutual fund ? Direct or though agent or adviser ? what are the advantages and disadvantages in such methods ?

      Between direct funds and regular funds a cost difference of 0.5 to 0.6%exists . This is the fee which gets paid to consultants/ distributors. If you think an advisor adds value to you ,use his services . You can always buy direct if you are confident. When you go direct, please be prepared to add expenses of mistakes you commit to the savings you make by going direct. Please note : Finance industry is highly advice based where everyone needs to be advised which includes your advisors too.

      You need not have NRI account . But you must have NRO account . Inform your bank to convert local SB account to NRO account.

      No need to change if you have no intention to go back . If you are a NRI and will resume work , then convert it NRO

      Instead of using the Resident account , you can use the NRE/NRO account . All the rest of the formalities will remain same

    Hi sir, this video is very useful. Few queries regarding this as follows.
    1. Actually yesterday when i tried creating can account using mf utilities atlast for ekyc the page doesn't appears like what you have shown (few changes happens), it is redirected to aditya birla mf kyc, where it asks video kyc as well. Is that same, can i proceed further?
    2. My current working company has strict policy on prohibition of demat account.
    Can u please confirm creating can account with kyc doesn't involve anything related to demat?
    Because my company is fine with me investing in mf, as long as not opening any demat account. Kindly advise me sir.

      Yes they controls, because im into investment banking process which involves live deals as well. No-one in my team is supposed to open demat account per their policy.

    you do not even have to go to mf utility, simply go to that particular mutual fund portal and add your details, and you are done. all the demat companies are money makers
