Plenty of people are arguing forgetting that a Metric Tonne (1000 Kg) is different from a U.S “Short” Ton (2000 Lbs = 907 Kg)
So 2.5 U.S Tons equals about 2268 Kg

@@boynextdoor931Yup, I had to explain it to my dad. Just use metric it makes more sense.
The three types are all a measure of mass (weight) the short ton aka US ton is 2,000/lbs. The long ton aka Imperial (British) ton is 2240 lbs. The third ton is the metric tonne which is, equal to 1000 kilograms, or approximately 2204 pounds.
And you are wrong. the game uses metric system. You can see it by distance being in meters not feet. Same goes for tons. Metric system is used. Not US or british 🤦♂️ americans 🫠
I never said the game doesn’t use metric. I’m just saying that people don’t understand that Burt, the American, is using pounds not kilograms.
Metric does make more sense and I envy the simple conversions.

I had to stop playing with randos because they kept arming it without telling anyone they even called it in. Without warning with the terminators still swarming the area it would just go off. The last time someone realize it and over voices gave a warning but it was 2 seconds before it went off so it wasn't enough still. lol
I hope they add the line “ IT’S CALLED A HELLBOMB FOR A REASON!”
they do have a hint that say something similar to "due to budgetary reasons, hellbombs come with manual arming system. Get away from the blast zone, unless you want to become a martyr"

I loved the hellbomb in helldivers one. Noting beats the pure starship trooper energy of planting a bomb in a Hive and booking it while the aliens try to slow you down. Every time it felt so close.
That one dumb teammate diving right at the end was the cherry on top.

I saw a dude say "I think it's glitched, I'll call a new one," and then run at the hell bomb literally 6 seconds after I armed it
Only thing that would make it better is popping up the achievement for getting launched 25m by a blast wave afterwards.
@ShiningDarknes had a teammate who got that that way. Realized too late the bomb was armed and didn't get out of the blast radius in time. He was just on the edge when he dove and next thing we see is a blur as he gets sent flying. Somehow survives that blast and the impact when he lands at an automaton factory. Didn't survive the hulk though. He couldn't stop laughing as he described what was going on.

Just so you know a 500kg is the gross weight of the bomb, which includes the shell, tail kit, guidance kit, etc.
The actual amount of explosive fillers could be only as little as 100-200kg.

Starship Troopers had a $100 million budget (which today is a bit under 200 mil), which is roughly 25x bigger budget than Tremors 2 and is definitely not a low budget film. They didn't "reuse" studio assets, they just took the original (unused) concept for the Shriekers, since Tremors 2 did not have the budget to make the shriekers look like that, and used that for the Arachnids instead.

Recently bought the game. When I jumped on a turret and my character started laughing maniacally, I immediately thought of Burt on the AA turret from the 3rd movie
No matter how fast you run it, never ever feels quite fast enough.
For some odd reason, Mort had a LOT of dissabled Hellbombs on non-civie/non-holdout missions.
Every firefight my ass got into there was a 25% chance I was going up in smoke from a stray bullet.
My mortar sentry has been a hellbomb bloodhound, I swear to god. Every time I throw one down on that god forsaken planet, ten seconds later a hellbomb blows somewhere in the distance.
The current Ice planet with Bots is littered with Hell Bombs. Just look on the walls of the ice ravines as you traverse the map. There's one like every 50 meters it feels like.
A lot of the time you can one shot a Bot Drop by detonating a nearby Hell Bomb and destroying the bots + the drop ship.

bugs planet in general have quite a lot of hellbombs in the scenery
One of my friends literally stared at a hellbomb, put three breaker shells into it, and blew us both to kingdom come

When u arm it and then ask ur friend to arm it while u run away😂
I was at work so I got to watch my two friends play for the first time on twitch, saw one of them arm it, start to run, wait a couple secs and go "wait, did it not work?" Ran back to it, and got to the access panel right as it blew. 😂 I was screaming at my phone for him to run lol

🤦♂️ bruh I was running a hard automaton mission and I plant a hellbomb turn on my mic and tell the random with me to "run!" This MF'er decides to go back and look at the bomb try and arm it realize it's already armed turns around and says oh sh-t right as it blows up. 🤦♂️😂

Hellbombs are awesome I remember being out of ammo in my liberator and being chased by a bile Titan so I dived towards one of those hellbombs that just spawn along side a dead charger and screamed “remember me!” as to my friends as shot it with the senator revolver twice killing me and the bile Titan 😂

Hellbomb S.O.P. : Always be aware of any deployed Hellbomb. As soon as you hear, “I got the terminal” or “Hellbomb armed!” Run. Once outside the blast radius, await detonation. If there’s no detonation after about 15 seconds, the bomb was destroyed, and must be redeployed.
Real patriots defend the bomb with their life.

First time I saw a hell bomb my teammate activated it and I was looking at it like Why is it counting down- BOOM.
Tremors 2. Such a good movie. The whole franchise is fantastic would recommend anyone who reads this to go watch it up till the 4th one (falls off after that)

Its a pre order set or something. Its intentionally a overly bright color because its meant to be a yogurt advertisement in case any civilians or cameras see the Helldiver lol

I always stand relatively close to the bomb and hug emote with the expectation of getting launched by the shockwave. Everytime.
Most of the time in random squads, everyone is quiet, and I also won't use my mic if that's the case. But every time I arm a hellbomb, despite the automatic "clear the area" from the in-game character, I pretty much always echo that with my mic: "Hellbomb is armed, ruuun." Doesn't matter, a rando will just stay around it and waste a reinforcement, even in the higher difficulties. Every. Time. What else can you do lol
That’s a common experience and ngl I’ve been caught in the blast before, I’m sure everyone has especially new players. But last time I played I noticed that the auto callout doesn’t travel very far and the subtitle is easy to miss.

There is always that teammate who doesn't hear "hell bomb armed clear the area" or the noise before the explosion so they got to "activate" the bomb and... You know what happens

I had a 1000 mile stare moment when a teammate decided to shoot an unexploded hellbomb in front of me... I can't explain how hard I clenched as I ran for cover.
I kept having one guy arm hell bombs while we were all RIGHT IN the bases... you'd hear the guy yell.. '"hell bomb armed".. and we're like WT...FFFF..... all running to clear 😂😂

I armed a hellbomb earlier but my teammates thought that it wasnt armed, so they tried to run to it and interact with it then boom.
You forgot that one helldiver that ALWAYS stays in the explosion range cause he was hunting samples and didn't hear the bomb being set on
