    Congrats to Jess. Cool that she acknowledged her mom’s Korean roots in her victory speech. I hope she keeps going back to this tournament in the future

    I would like to see Pegula take home a grand slam trophy. She's really interesting to watch. She pushin' 30, though. She 29, right now. WTA more competitive, since Swiatek and Sabalenka become 'stable' at top. You should get some sort of award for being 'consistently' high ranked. Pagula would get a lot of points. That might give some of these girls incentive to not pack it in, after a big win or a few big wins. October, WTA become Asian tournament 'express.'

    It is really a special title on the behalf of Jessica Pegula due to Korean ancestry of her mom. This championship is always a splendid gift for her mother. Unforgettable moment and occasion with her this success. Even though it is 250 WTA tournament, the title is a title. It is another achievement which was plainly captured by American tennis competitor.

      @milanavujicic6854 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Probably her mother doesn't know how to speak Korean either because she was adopted as a small child, it's nice of Jessica to mention that and it's a sign that she respects her Korean origin. And congratulations for this kind of effort and success considering that her parents are billionaires, most children of rich parents do nothing but waste that money.
