    Thank you for the review. I had planned on going back to Viking knit. I sometimes use a metal dowel or a knitting needle as my base. Thank you. 😊

    Excellent video! Ive not seen this type 9f weave before. With the proper jig this could make a very nice basket as well!Do you use the loops on your jig in 2s,3s,4s,? Im thinking that it really doesnt matter as the bigg the diameter the more or less loops you need depending on what you want the finished product for.
    I will be trying this.
    Ive made gill nets, dup nets, and even a triangular net for canoes and kayaks that folds out with a rod so you can pull a fish into it but this is great!

    Christine, I am always surprised by your talent, You can do so many different weaves and some chain maille which i have done quite a few but this is completely different. So beautiful i am going to have to try this. You always bring something new to the table and that's why i love your channel and you have such a great eye for matching the wire wrapped cabochons together too. I have to ask you a question How do you feel about colours wire? Not gold or silver, i mean vibrant colours teals, electric blue, red, white, black and green colours, like this on Copper filled wire. Before i buy some i wanted you opinion on the coloured wire. Would you use them i have seen some recently and i was wondering about how real professional jewelry makers feel about them.

    Hi from Italy, Sorry for my English, I would like to know where to buy the tool for "viking knit", I make usually bracelets and rings, but using crochet hook, with single stitch or others. I have seen your video and I was amazed!

      @ L Angolo creativo di Stefy
      The creator said that in this video, she used a crochet needle to make the tool used here. A knitting needle, wooden dowel, or metal rod would work equally well.
      All of these come in different diameters so you may need to do some trial and error to find the diameter that gives you the results you desire.

    Can you do this with wool

    how would I calculate how much wire a 7 1/2 finished bracelet would required using 26 gauge wire.

  • @scottbenson8105
    @scottbenson8105 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    What I don’t understand is why you cut off the wire that you attached the Viking weave then added more wire in the same place that you just cut the wire off from that’s just a waste of wire. Plus you’re adding another step that isn’t needed. Now I can understand why people like me do that have the Lazy Daisy waking knit tool because the top of the tool won’t fit through the draw plates

    • @ondinert795
      @ondinert795 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I assume it is because we can’t weave with the spool, so you have to cut a piece of wire to weave, and as you don’t always know how many long do you need, that it :)

    • @WarmCatFurniture
      @WarmCatFurniture 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are threading the end of the wire through, in the same way as you do when sewing. You cannot thread your entire spool under the loops on the tool.
