    I was a teacher for 15 years. Getting comfortable with your material and knowing what you want the core lesson to be was always key.

    On the advice of a Conor Neil video, I started to place 'talking head' videos every few days. I'd think of a topic and talk to my webcam. In the past five years I've placed around 1,550 of them. It certainly enables one to think and act naturally without any recourse to notes or other props. Great advice from you, Riaz.

      Especially off the top. If you lose their attention in the beginning it will be an ongoing battle to get it back!

    Excellent presentation. Very helpful. I have been preaching for 47 years, and ( still preach at 2 services every Sunday. I "accidentally" preached a sermon without notes a few weeks ago, and I think I connected with the people better. So, I'm going to go for it. Thanks for the help.

    Thanks Riaz! I always practice out loud. Sound is huge in helping to imprint ideas into memory. Practicing with movement is also great, eg. while walking. The forward momentum carries into the words.

    "Fear that we will forget our words and fear the audience will toon us out." You have a great point! I know when I first started out I had this anxiety. It is all about learning ways to overcome this fear in order to better connect with our audience.

    I find that memorizing the intro and outro is crucial for me. The middle, I arranged in a very similar way you outlined! Outlining the key message and points is extremely helpful in writing your script.

    Great tips Riaz! I'm doing a lot of TH-cam Lives, but bringing notes and I'd really like to get away from them. I think I just need to cut the cord. I often bring the notes but don't use them!

    Great video! I often use notes when giving speaches or talks and it never comes out good. The few times that I have rehearsed I have noticed the audience paying more attention to what I am talking about. I have just never made the connection till today, nor thought about it. Thanks for this video! Will keep this in mind for the future. :)

    Thankfully, I do not talk to a live audience --But i use a script , but I improvise a lot ! Feel the Words ,,,, Great advice , Riaz . Gonna try some of these . Awesome content ! Nail the Chunks and keywords - so interesting

      @@RiazMeghji I am a soft skills trainer and also a management faculty ,Just like you suggested not to learn verbatim. I personally during my session only keep the structure in my mind.However these days as the classes are on zoom and conducted virtually ,I find it difficult as i like my sessions to be interactive .Hence I loved all your suggestions here and in your other videos also.Thanks and please keep posting!!
