Amen, Kaytri! The athletes and staff need to be held responsible. Love you, girl!
It’s sad that he is the scapegoat for a much bigger issue at USU as a whole. The university, its police department, and the Logan police department go out of their way to intimidate victims to keep them quiet. This happens not just with perpetrators linked to the sports programs but also those linked to the LDS Institute. I personally know several girls that were sexually assaulted at LDS Institute activities that when they reported what happened to USU police they were met with threats and intimidation, with one being told “well unless you can get the guy to confess to you on tape there’s nothing we can do”. Logan PD was more focused on what they were wearing and what they may have done to lead the guys on.
Of course, there are some things that the Logan PD does take seriously. Pulling out of your driveway and being a half block away before you put your seat belt on. Driving 4 over. Not signaling before you turn into a roundabout. Having a license plate cover that is barely tinted at all.
