Struggling through the creative process is often more interesting than a polished video showcasing polished images. I enjoyed this meditation very much. Thanks for sharing.
Happy to hear that! Thanks for watching
It is a situation that I recognize. I want to create something and nothing succeeds. Good to see I am not alone.
The last few videos you have made, and specifically this one, are your strongest yet. I love your style of 'talking freely in English', showing the mistakes, and successes, explaining the process, and what you have to go through personally; it's authentic, honest and encouraging. You show that everything is not 'instagram perfect' straight away, and that's okay. Your channel is a valuable asset to anyone trying to make their way as an artist.
Reading this comment really touched me and I appreciate your feedback! Thank you for your continuous support💫🙏
Good job at expressing yourself as the camera subject. You are the most affordable model so why not use yourself. Regarding you always wanting to change things you like, there is nothing wrong with change. If you remain the subject, that will be what Flora becomes noted for. Now comes the technique. Your self portraits don't have to be full body shots. They can be in your favorite eatery, on the train or subway, while getting shelter from the rain, etc. Change can happen all the while you maintain a constant. Self portraiture is a winner for you. All you need to do is find settings you enjoy. Then, treat the world to life with Flora.
Thank you for watching and for the comment! I just want to mention that doing self portraits is not for the affordability, but for connecting with yourself and everything that is involved with the creative aspect of it
I think the portrait at 3:48 is really creative and excellent. Thanks for sharing your process, and it certainly cannot be easy to display your vulnerability and insecurity, but it shows honesty and optimism on your part to try and get the images right the way you like them.
Thank you so much!
I enjoyed this photo diary of your thoughts and feelings and admire your courage to then publish those insecurities, lows and highs to your audience. Well done on producing some wonderfully evocative and emotive self portraits
That's so good to hear, thank you!
That’s all part of your creative journey … some ups and downs. Trying new techniques, regardless of the outcome helps your growth as an artist. Sorry about that rejection but you’re setting a fine example by persevering and keeping a positive attitude. I really like those Day 3 monochrome portraits … well done! Hold fast!
📷🐈🌞
Aw thank you so much for the support!
Doing self portraits is hard. Filming yourself doing it adds an extra level of complexity. You're doing hard things and succeeding.
Aww thank you so much
You’re exploring and experimenting, vital parts of the creative process. It’s like in science. You do an experiment to find the truth, not get the result you expected. Changing things that “work” can lead you into new places, or just remind you why you have a habit. 🤷♂️😸👍♥️♥️
This is so so true, thank you!
@@flora.k thanks for sharing, and being you! ♥️👍😸
Changing things you already like... hehe I do that too. Sometimes it may be that when we already know how to do something, it's not as interesting as figuring out how to do something else.
Thanks for posting your artistic journey. You're inspiring people who you've not even met! 🙂
Like this perspective of curiosity! And thank you for the nice words,it means a lot!
You're going through what we're all going through on a regular basis. You are playful, you are creative, and that's something you can use. Lose your mind every now and then and do something weird and unexpected. (As long as it's legal! 😂) looking forward to your next video. No pressure! 😅
Heheh thank you :) I hope the new video will be up next week!
Changing things that we like is necessary in a creative process. Some writer called it kill your darlings. The timing can be off. It probably is. We either to early or to late. Butch hurts but being to late stick with something for two long is more painful in the end
Changing things you like could simply be a habit. No deep psychological mystery or low intelligence- just a habit developed through years of repetition Be kind to yourself.
I thought some of those shots were great. I guess it’s always worth trying something new but perhaps emphasises that you already know what works for you.
It's always worth trying, and experimenting! I agree:) Thank you for watching
