The first person from Africa I ever met was a young engineering student from Ghana. He was getting a degree in mechanical engineering in Germany while learning German at the same time. At five years old, I knew he was the smartest person I had ever met. There is so much potential for economic development.

Yesss!!!!!! I’ve noticed that there are like two different types of African Americans. The ones who want to be back home to Africa and the ones who don’t even want the idea of African ancestry. As an African, I say please please go back home and build. We need African Americans in Africa. They have the knowledge, experience, dedication, pride etc that African needs. Let’s build!🥰❤️❤️❤️

I think it's also fair to say there are a lot of African Americans or Black Americans who aren't connected to Africa because there is no direct connection with Africa outside of the history we are taught in books. Most of the time, our great great great Grandparents and maybe further are American or could be American vs people who migrated recently to different countries. So in all fairness the United States of America is their/our home. I say this to say, we have to be mindful when we start putting people in a box of "two types" because there is a lot more to the story when it comes to identity.

As an African American. It's good to read that. Because most Africans have told me the opposite.

      >>We need African Americans in Africa. They have the knowledge, experience, dedication, pride etc
      I don't know that...
I just look at their own situation in America.
They have lots of challenges of their own that they are totally unable to solve.
So I'm not sure they possess the capacity to help build Africa.
      Maybe...maybe not.

I am a woman of color. In the united states. I always pray that when Africans Move to the United States that they learn our Blk History. I feel like African that reside in the United States don't respect People of color in the US for various reasons. People of color in the United States are the inventors of so many things that make the world move. from the sanitary napkin to electricity to the roller coaster. Because I did not come from Africa I believe I am an American and a person of color.

It is really an insult to say African Americans are NEEDED in Africa. I'm sure they will be welcome to return to Africa. What can they do in Africa when they can't do what we need in America. What businesses do we have in America? If so, why arent they teaching the young African Americans here.

Anthony, please start a financial literacy course for children starting at K5 all the way up until 12th grade. Internships, workshops, seminar's. Also, for the adults to help bridge the gaps. Maybe partner with Ashley M. Fox or others to help build up our people. Also, don't forget about other brothers and sisters in America who maybe can't go but want to give on whatever level and sow seeds as well. This is beautiful and I pray that God directs you on this next level.

I went to Ghana last year for my birthday. I enjoyed every moment of it. The people were very welcoming and were willing to teach me once I was open to listening. Ghana has so much potential for growth. But they just have to remove those people out of the office who're moving with bad motives, that country can be even more amazing. Madasse Ghana, I'll see you again soon🙏🏾

This makes so much sense to me now. My travels to north & South Africa was the most beautiful experience of my life. I absolutely felt the instant warmth from the community. Also having the understanding why properties are unfinished even in the Caribbean islands. Respect for real. I realized how spoiled we are in the states. We have everything we need on every corner but I was fascinated with the Medina & the market place literally all the resources for the community. People are so pure & rich in spirit. 👑

And not a minute too soon!!!! Young Ghanaians would benefit tremendously..........as this conversation demonstrates, too many young Ghanaians have a wage earner mentality rather than an entrepreneurial mindset and yet you need millions of entrepreneurs to create the jobs that they seek. A real poverty trap. Thank God for people like Kwabena Obeng Darko who is educating the youth on investing, starting businesses and CHANGING THE MINDSET.

I dont think the credit system should be prevalent in africa like it is in america. In hindsight its good but in practice its horrible because of financial illiteracy so it preys on ppls desires. realistically majority of ppl wont be literate in finance so the best option is for them to save and pay up front

As a Ghanaian American who was born and raised in Ghana..its sad to see that my country of Ghana hasnt done enough for the low and middle class....why is the USA dollar used as a form of financial transactions???? Why would any Ghanaian consider making about $1000usd monthly to live very comfortably in Ghana or any African country??
We should stick with our local currency for everything or a unified African currency for the continent.
Why should i save money in America so i can buy properties in Ghana????
Why cant the government rather make it easier for everyone especially the low and middle class to afford living a better life in their own country rather than having to emigrate overseas to make wealth only to return to invest....makes no sense at all!!! And this bad governance and mismanagement of resources has been going on for decades and centuries till now.
Why should i and other millions of immigrants, have to leave Ghana for greener pastures abroad? only to make my life better in America then return to help my people when we have more resources than every country or continent in the world?
What is making The United States of America, Canada, Europe, etc., a better prospect than most African countries in relation to the accumulation of wealth and a booming economy with various opportunities?
Our leaders in political power, should do better to improve the lives of their own people...
why should anyone make it overseas so they can return to live comfortably in their homeland???
    Its really sad!!!!
Best case scenario is, if my brother anthony oneal and many other African Americans grew up in Ghana and was still living in Ghana as Ghanaians and lived anywhere, i guarantee yall that most would still be struggling and would have had very slim chances of making it and would be no where as wealthy as they are now if they were in Ghana in comparison to if they were in the united states with tthe opportunities or resources America created for them.
Regardless of the system that most people complain about here in the states, i will still thank Europe, Canada and the United States for giving me and many others, the best opportunities in life through their policies whiles giving all glory to God for making that possible.
Africa has a long way to go!!! and it starts with changing the mindset of the people and putting the right leaders in power...
Its sad to be talking about caucasian currency in an African region...
What did our feeedom fighters fight for then?
    Thats sad!!!

Thank you dear for your comment , but with the USD currency situation it's what it's if you want the value your money and that's the reality . It very bad on the part of our leaders. It all about leadership, leadership, leadership and not the mindset , because it's true leadership position with policies and laws that can change the mindset of the people .

6:25 If credit is introduced to Ghana....they will be in debt, like 95 percent of Americans. Not good. Financial literacy is important.

I can’t wait to retire there with my husband. He’s a Ghanian and I’m in love all over again whenever I go. Praise Yeshua! What a wonderful place to be. And discover more about love, culture, life and Christ! People talk a lot about spirituality and new age- they should really find out our roots!😂 but DONT forget about the poor, bro- they need a lot of help there!

One secret you must know about africa , is people will treat you how you treat yourself.
If you appear local or great africans vibe accordingly. Also sharing can make africans come
close to you and the sharing must not be big things.Helping someone asking for a D in America
is totally different from helping someone with one cedi in africa .The one in need of help in Africa must end
up blessing you in the name of God, this explains why many may be called but only you are chosen. If you
are rich and you notice someone is using sweet tongue to get little out of your pocket dont act too wise
play along and i can tell you for sure that same person will call you chairman when next you meet.If you dont have
anything to offer dont be rude also.Again one thing you must know interms of rising is that know somebody who know somebody who know somebody .

24:00 She said earlier $60 usd was the average lower middle class monthly income so tipping him $100 is equivalent to you giving him $2,000-3000+ in America. I’d be shocked too.
