Cheviot is a nice little town. Great little cafe on the left on the way south. Have driven this road several times, and over the Hurunui one-way bridge. I see a proposal to replace it with a modern two-way structure, but have never seen a serious hold up there.
Over on the new railway line behind John’s jones steel by the southern motorway someone probably a youngin has spray painted the concrete stoppage block at the end of the line. That needs investigation
