I’m working on this beauty right now. Just FYI, there are several places where Crystal says single crochet but demonstrated double crochets in the groups of three. I suggest watching closely, since Crystals’s videos are so easy to follow. I can’t wait to post the pic of my Olive on the FB group. Such a beautiful pattern. Thanks Crystal!
I've noticed that
I noticed it too, but I knew what she meant. It was in the middle of the " checkerboard" pattern which I knew was always double crochets.
By the time it happened I understood the pattern well enough to know.

You did it again with another beautiful shawl pattern. I enjoyed making this one too, even though I messed up and had to rip several rows. But then its the journey and not the destination. I guess you can call them the open or checkerboard diamond and the do-hicky diamond. I mean the solid diamond, LOL.

I didn’t make it to row 10 before I had to grab some new yarn and a hook and restart the whole thing so I could follow along. This pattern is irresistible! While I know the stitches, I'm saving this vid, because as soon as I decide on the yarn, I'm gonna need you to walk/talk me through it LOL! (Sidenote: I'm mostly a knitter who has done quite a bit of crocheting...but can't make a granny square to save my hide :( , but you explain everything very well and are easy to follow along....maybe there's hope for me yet? Definitely checking out your other tutorials. I need all the hope I can get!)
