C64 Speedrun: Impossible Mission

I played the Remember crack that removes the “searching” when you collect each item. Visited 22 out of 32 rooms, didn’t need any lift reset objects, and deliberately died a few times to exit the room quicker. Also removed the transitions between screens.

I first played this game on my friend's Commodore 128 in the mid-80s. Some 30 years later, I found Impossible Mission online. After about 5 weeks of playing it, I discovered Impossible Mission wasn't so impossible after all, and I was so elated when I beat it. This is by far my favorite C64 game.

@@huejazz6939 9 Jigsaws, 36 pieces, each half of each jigsaw will be a solid shape, put them all together with the same colour, at the right angle, you get the password.

Just did a run without any cheats and you only beat my score by 201 points, but then I searched every item and I guess died about 4-5 times.

I didn't know what the first part of that electronic voice said.. Stay a while .. stay forever was clear.. the rest was gibberish.

If I watched your speedrun correctly, not only the crack helped you with the transitions and with the quicker searchings, but somehow you knew how to avoid the furnitures that have nothing in them. How could you do that?

Yes for some reason nearly every searched furniture yielded a puzzle piece, which is of course not the case on the original game.
