Glad they put it in the game. Just doesn't do the most ideal upgrades possible yet, it will automatically want to upgrade in sets rather than get the most out of the characters you have
Ok so this is insane,there's alot of healing buffs or damage buffs with the new ability upgrades and some seem pretty nutty,for instance i love my non meta OG Gurdians team and some of those extra abilitys are kinda nasty,theres also alot of nutty upgrades all around
So Universa is going to be cracked. She quite easily gets to 100% crit chance, especially when facing against last line of defense characters in a GDA. She has 1 ability that grants her up to 20% crit chance with 11% lifesteal every so often and another giving 15% for every last line of defense enemy killed up to 10 stacks (that's 150% crit chance? 170% with other ability) She then whenever critting deals 70% damage to 4 different targets. This is energy damage. That stacks with her main ability which can lessen energy defense dramatically. Not to mention it has damage over time ability that also deals energy damage. This means every attack will be dealing 150% damage to main target with each hit and 70% of that damage to every other target which is effectively 105% of base damage to the other 4 characters which again gets boosted from her main ability which is a global damage ability to begin with. Then she can lifesteal briefly off all the damage. Mix that with her being ranged and flying and she is probably the best attacker in game once fully invested in. Atom Eve also got a huge buff, as did Invincible. They are really afraid of Maulers as they got the shaft. Idk why they worry about buffing them. I also am shocked Bulletproof didn't get a significant upgrade. His invincibility is still only 3 seconds while invincible gets a triggered one that lasts longer now. Bulletproof still needs 7 crits to get invincibility. I get they don't want him invincible all the time, but why not scale his needed crits for invincibility down to 5 at max out skill. Universa can wipe a whole team, but Bulletproof can't trigger his most important ability with any consistency unless he gets knocked back?
In the meantime, Universa seems to be underperforming. There seems to be an issue with her abilities, even though I have her at an impressive Omnipotent 81 stars! Her main power appears to be quite insignificant, and it's evident in the alliance battle where she fails to attack all enemies. It's quite disappointing, as one would anticipate her to obliterate all foes on the screen, but she only manages to take down 2-3 of them. To be honest, the heroes that I find most valuable in my arsenal are BattleBeast and Ranged Mauler Twin. BattleBeast's 40 attack boost at the beginning of a battle is crucial, while Ranged Mauler Twin's ability to take out the first opponent that comes near allows BattleBeast to focus on the enemies in the backline. One of the most annoying opponents is Immortal. To prevent your entire hero squad from attacking him like idiots for good seconds without causing him damage, put Ranged Mauler Twin in the frontline, and Battles Beast in the back line. In the first seconds of the fight, Ranged Mauler Twin moves the Immortal to the back, or as the case may be to the sides, and the Battle beast goes after him, allowing your other heroes to kill the rest of the opponents while Imoortal is, of course, immortal. Additionally, Isotope is a standout hero for me due to his ability to swiftly eliminate foes and hinder their movements.
@GeorgeDragoi I know skill upgrades just came out, but have you been able to upgrade any of her skills to cap out crit chance and her 4th ability to attack multiple targets with each strike upon crit? I think if that is working, that should be the main thing to make her feel really strong. While her main ability not working properly is disappointing, I think her with 100% crit chance and dealing damage to everyone with her auto attacks will be the thing that sets her apart. Sorry you've invested so much in her and that she is so underwhelming atm. I can see Battle Beast being really good, especially with the invisibility cloak Artifact. His skill upgrades also look quite nice. I can see ranged mauler being really good against a melee opponent from the front row. I think they are really scared to make Maulers better, but perhaps at the high-end level of play, they are doing really well. I agree that ranged is better than Melee mauler for sure.
Buying any item from the equipment shop gives you a small increase. I'm assuming you just haven't been buying items? If you're concerned about resources, just buy the items that costs gold not gems.
I don't like this decision at all. It's definitely going to be another cash grab. The vast majority of peoole don't even have an omnipotent character yet and now their adding this. The level up system was already a grind.
