I own so many gorgeous Penelope Luz polishes, their shimmer polishes & also the magnetics are some of my favorite polishes. In this collection my favorite polish is the magnetic, Unique Nails. I also love Signature, Rare, and Treasured. As always, all your videos and swatches are gorgeous!
Omg these are so gorgeous. I originally bought a few magnetics from her on Etsy then bought more finishes from her. The polishes are fabulous. So pretty!!!

I'm not surprised though, if I were a big international brand that wanted to lurk on what indies are up to, your swatches are a good place to sneak a peek! 😅 This set is so pretty, I think Prime Polish is my favorite of the bunch, that grey base looks great with that shimmer. Also Inebriating Coat has such a luscious bluey base. I haven't tried this brand yet, very tempting
Interesting story behind Scandal Luxury! Incidentally, I think that color is identical to Moodstone by Cirque. That’s one of their “do good” shades that had a very limited availability, released last year and no longer available. It’s one of my favorites of all the shades I currently have. Picked up Hummingbird by Penelope Luz in the Wild Animals PPU, and have already worn it 3X ❤❤❤
Personally I liked her other logo better but this one is cute too. Lol I adore her polishes though so it absolutely doesn't matter to me what the box looks like ❤
Small bottles don't bother me bc I have a quite large collection that I'm already not going to get through and short nails so I will still get a lot of full manicures out of a 10ml bottle. I feel like the experience and the fun of each of those manis is worth it, but I get for people who have long nails or a more curated collection would want value for money. In the UK most indie brands use 10 or 11ml bottles so it doesn't seem odd to me (and some sell 5-6ml bottles that sell perfectly well), so I've only ever heard people from the US and Canada complaining about bottles that are less than 15ml 😬
I looked at the Brazilian website and then looked up the dollar conversions in google. And their polishes are a little under $10 USD in Brazil! But up to $14 in the US. Ugh! Probably because of import fees. Or who knows. Or maybe in part bcs other stockists want to make a bigger profit. I'm going to try to order some from her Brazilian website and see what happens with the price.
Hi dear Pamela 🥰 Here Luciana, Penélope Luz’s owner. 🥰 Brazilian laws no longer allow us to send flammable products via regular mail, we can only use Fedex, UPS or DHL, so it is impossible for us to sell directly to the end consumer, you would pay approximately $50 to buy a single nail polish. 😞 The price increases as the weight increases. There are also export and import taxes, and fees from financial institutions that act as an intermediary between the dollar and the real (Brazilian currency), PayPal in Brazil, for example, charges a 7% fee. Unfortunately, we cannot sell abroad for the same price as we sell within Brazil, and stockists also need to include their costs and profits. When I buy an American product I also pay much more than the amount you pay buying it there, even when I buy directly from the brand. I pay 60% export tax on the product and shipping, a nail polish that you buy for $10, I buy for around $20, including shipping and tax. Unfortunately, depending on the country's laws, it is difficult to import and export. 😢

Hi dear Melissa! 🥰 We Brazilian indie brands are very very sorry about this, but here in our country the average ml in a bottle of nail polish is 8ml. 😢 The maximum we can find is 10ml. Unfortunately, it is not simple to import, our import taxes are very severe and the bureaucracy is very complex. As small, artisanal brands, we are limited to what is available on the Brazilian market. Our dream is for some manufacturer or importer to get us bottles of at least 12ml, but everyone says it's not worth it for such a small quantity (even if we include all the Brazilian indie brands). They are only interested in serving the big industrialized brands that use a maximum of 8ml. A few use 10ml, but the most popular brands here (Risque and Colorama) that basically dominate our market use 8ml bottles. The smallest brands follow the same pattern. And we indies, who are a drop in the market, can't negotiate anything, just accept what we have.😢

Did you swatch Phoenix Christmas collection? The final one is pretty but reminds me a bit of For Rocket. The Penelope Luz are all gorgeous!
