    Love the style of video man. Please continue this, doesn’t need to be as in-depth in the future and future eps can build on previous points but this kinda content within coh3 community is lacking.

      I'll definitely continue it. There are a few games in my Narrated Gameplay series that have preamble edit like this as well and I feel they got lost in the ocean of episodes, despite being that extra bit special. Hence a new series were born, 'Strat Chats'! :)

    What is really kind of crazy is that the m1919 passive damage reduction actually allows it to beat mainlines which are in green cover without it itself being in green cover.
    Like at the 10:40 mark where a gren in green cover throws a grenade on a m1919 out of cover, and isn't able to kill it with rifle fire.

      Yeah the amount of time the 30cal MGs and vet1 Scouts can keep Axis forces occupied is significantly longer now with the veterancy changes on these units. When the Scouts have already capped the majority of the map it leads to a massive VP or resource lead, which you can also observe at 13:35 onwards.

      And they just pretend its normal too. They sit there with a vet 3 250 28 minutes into the game pretending like everyone can do it :D:D

      Use a tactical map, you can move it to the space keybind... You should be able to fight at least in 3 places at the same time, because the game is designed around small scale battles.

      Yeah the tactical map makes a world of difference. I remapped it to the extra button on the side of my mouse.

    Great video Stephenn, It's indeed crazy that you so comfortably held a triple cap for most of the game against Reakly. I'm pretty intrested in what the solution is gonna be. I don't think this was their intention. Keep it up.
    The improvements to the MG also makes the WSC way better imo. And with the tech skip options you always had with the Airborne Battlegroup makes it really strong. This time you went for the ISC, but didn't tech anything. But with the MSC you can even make your Shermans stronger, unfortunatly/fortunatly there is no cannister shot anymore for them, depending on your opinion on the cannister shot upgrade :P. .

    It is really fascinating how, in almost every game, you will see the best players say "hey this is really broken", and then some people who can barely get to silver start explaining how "akshually this is not true". Like, those people are the best of the best for a reason, why not learn from them instead?
    But I guess this is a problem way bigger than gaming lol, everybody seems to be entitled to an opinion on everything nowadays. I hope your explanation helps some people understand what the problem is. Great vid!

    After your previous video I tried out your strat and went for air support Center as there aren’t as many munition drains until you unlock the loiter from the battlegroup… and it was absolutely insane.
    Haven’t had a close game, all of them were more than deciding. Only player that had me trying a bit harder was a wehr player with 200 more elo than me going for mp40 grenadiers and jäger squads with Shrek upgrades, but even that was quickly decided once I got my 3rd Sherman by the time he had one p4.
    Infantry play gets shut down by the now formidable USF mg which takes forever to decrew with vet1, team weapon play gets shut down by the strave and dive bomb from air support and there’s not enough map control for tank play. Really busted right now

    Hey! It's finally the follow up to Inverses "Strat talk" from CoH1 that I always wanted. My weakest factions are Wehr and DAK but I'd really love to see some efficient strats that use T2 as Wehr or even better T1-2-3-4 in a way to be less predicable. You've demonstrated multiple ways to use DAK T1-T2 in your other casts but my vehicle micro is atrocious. Anyways, that's something I'd really love to see some "different" Wehr strats that aren't the usual cookie cutter spamfests.

      Ahhh someone noticed my inspiration for these! I learned so much from Inverse's "Strat Talk" videos but thought I'd add my own flare to it with some editing/research. Inverse tends to jump straight into the game itself. Yeah I'll be focusing on the next couple of weeks. My ELO is going to cop a beating :D

    This existed since before the orchid spider, but now it's worse because of the xp ;). There was an update that made them more durable. That's where it started. Also, in 2v2, it's pretty strong. Just imagine a blob of 6 of them vs 2/3 grens.

      Yeah the XP from capping has made it that bit stronger. It was manageable before with Gren/221 with MP40s.

    good ideas, and I wholeheartadly agree with you. And that made me stoped played 1v1 as of now. Imo the US Wher matchup is just not interesting anymore.

    Is there some reason Wehr players aren't trying halftracks/ Stummels as the counter?
    The 221s major problem is the 240hp vs the 320hp of the M3 and 251. It's armour is much higher (20 front vs 10 for M3 and 12.5 for 251) but that doesn't matter against bazookas or snares.
    It also means it gets engine crits every time while we see your M3 just gets stunned if it is on full hp. Imo 221 needs lower armour but the full 320hp.
    The AT upgrade is also bad as even if you take out the allied light vehicle, you have essentially lost your 221, and with 240 hp it can't even attack mediums without dying, whereas the stummel can soak 2 tank hits easy (120hp each) while using its vet 1. M3 AT variant can do the same.
    What do you think?

      I think because the M3 with either a Quad or 75mm upgrade will ruin it. Pathfinder support will find the supporting pak40 and the 75mm will chip from max range with standard fire or barrage. The Stummel won't escape the 75mm M3 vet1 ability.

    i will say even with hotfix 1.9.4 still works ( they got nerf tiny bit in economy side and then decapture speed but capture speed is still there )

      I agree! 1.9.4 is just a minor nerf, but any little bit helps. This strategy can be executed quite well with Artillery Observers as well which were not subjected to a nerf. Just be mindful that instead of a Paratrooper/ATG drop will have to be replaced with extra HMG or Bazooka squads so the Arty Observer adaption can have less combined arms utility.

    1v1 in COH3 seems to be all about capping. Not even map control. Just capping. Best strategy seems to be to cap as much points as possible at any given time. No matter which or when.Just cap recap cap recap. When enemy attacks, just press R and immediately send that retreated unit to cap some other point. When enemy tries to defend one, just send your units to somewhere else. I think Pathfinders being to strong is not a problem. They just excel in this strategy. They should completely redesign how map control works in 1v1. There should be less capping and more fighting, focused in one or two areas at one given time. It would be less hectic and more enjoyable to play and watch. Simplest way to do that, would be decreasing number of points. And to prevent all games taking place in few parts of map, it could be done in a way, that number of points would stay the same, but at the start of every round cca 1/3 of points would be randomly disabled for that round. But im just noob, who started playing just few weeks ago and Relic has been doing this game last 20 years, so dont listen to me

      U are fighting for control to cap. U cannot control the caps without fighting. Just depends how you go about it and how good u are at dominating the map and winning the engagements.

      The point is that 1v1 2v2 3v3 and 4v4 are totally different games, if you nerf or boost something according to one of the above modes it will bring unbalance to the other modes, that's why it's almost impossible to balance this game between factions

      If the opponent spreads they typically will have a weak point in their lines to break through and threaten their cut off! I think it's an important part of the game. Problem is Scouts can do both combat, capping and stalling to buy time for other units to reinforce since the faster vet1 XP capping gains from patch 1.9.0.
