I showed this video for several years to hundreds of my high school students. They were always blown away and I never got tired of watching this great vid. Simply fantastic.
Brilliant! I sure miss Big Sexy-she served honorably for her entire career in the USAF. I got about 5k hours in her, and loved every minute. Well, maybe not transition time…lol.
Retired KC-10 Boom here. In the 10's from 1986-1999. One of the old "Gucci Boys" California Freestyle. Best job in the Air Force. .. thanks for the memories. ask your sim instructors if they remember "Dial-Tone." "BOOM STOWED, LEAVING POSITION."
Randy Johnson my father was a kc-10 boom as well he retried in 97 was stationed at SJ afb with the 344th. before they went to Travis and McGuire. his nickname was blue bear.
I remember "Dial Tone'"because I was there in Cairo when you got tagged with that nickname. I believe we were crew resting at the Mina House. This is MSgt Lager (79th ARS) USAFR Retired.

My dad piloted KC10s from '88-'01 out of Barksdale, Maguire, and Scott AFB. Perhaps you worked with him at some point.
