Great opening comment and fully support your view. We also are off later in the month, again tier 2 to tier 2 and not passing through a tier 3. Enjoy your 4 nights away and I'm sure you'll tell us all about it.
YEY...go for it. Enjoy every minute both of you. Glad you take us with you as we don’t get very far in these uncertain times, I’m looking forward to the journey. Take care both of you and Poppy too of course. Stay safe
Hi Bob and Jenny Great video, at 69 years you have given my husband and I the enthusiasm to look for our own motorhome. I think I have watched nearly half of your videos so far. They are so informative. Have a great getaway.
Bob - I would like to make one point here; people may look at this vlogs and think it is totally irrelevant, but it is not - the more you watch (even though we have had a few motorhomes on hire) these vlogs and you going through your routine, the more experienced one becomes and it gives confidence and peace of mind prior to setting off. They bring value Keep going.
Sorry, but I seem to message you often Bob. Enjoy your break away. Your videos are useful and informative. We had booked in to visit Moreton in Marsh however they cancelled our booking because we were coming from a tier 3 area into their tier 2. Disappionted but we understood and accepted the situation. We have to keep our motorhome in a secure storage facility and was surprised to learn that we are not even allowed by them to take our van off the site. That seems harsh to me. If the tier system remains in place next year, our van could be locked in storage until God knows when. Hoping things will be better by next Spring. You will be pleased to know that we have since joined both the C+C club and the C+MC club. In hindsight we should have left that doing that until next year, but we are happy none the less. Keep up your good work with the vids. Dave and Sophie.
Enjoyed the video Bob & Jenny. Hope you enjoy the trip. We've just come back from Llanberis for three nights (live in Wales), inspired by your Wales Tour. Visited the old slate quarries in Llanberis & the next day there was a landslide by the diving centre, no one was hurt. Like yourselves, we use our own van facilities. Enjoy.🚐👍
Good on you Bob for getting away! We are in tier 3 at the moment and I am holding out for tier 2 on the 16th as we had a trip still planned for the end of the year to a site in a tier 2 location. Keep travelling and doing what you do in such a fantastic way! X
You and Jenny are probably some of the safest persons to be around in Briton. Being completely isolated in that motorhome bubble, you are being more careful than most people. In Denmark we still have idiots who claim that they dont care what authoritys say, they will still travel on skiing holiday or go to warm places. Some travel agencies are ready to chance it and send them. Your way of travelling are much safer for all. I hope you will enjoy it.
Good on you getting away.. unfortunately we can’t at the present as in their 3 but hope it changes at Christmas.. QUESTION: how cold is cold to leave your covers on for the fridge.. my book says put on when 10degrees or below?
I usually think one vent when it's 6 degrees or below and two if it gets to - 3 or so. It's trial and error though, some fridges are more efficient than others.
Have a great time folks....We are going out on Thursday too, even though the weather will not be particularly good, it will be great to hit the road again...Safe travels... Ray, Linda and little sasha..
Well done guys, being in wales we've not long come back from a week in north wales (ah great to be away) so glad your getting away again have a fantastic trip can't wait excited for you! I can't wait to get back out there too. I here you mention in your older videos about your business just wondered what you use to do? Take care and have fun and Poppy too xxx
Thanks, what we used to do - that needs adding to our FAQs! We had a Sage Reseller Software business and Jenny wrote database systems to work with Sage. Before that, I worked as a Technical Manager for BT and Jenny was a Branch Manager for the Halifax.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo ah brilliant thanks for answering my question Bob not sure why but I thought you might have been a driver of some kind (how wrong can you be) ha ha have a fab trip take care 🤗👍
Have a great trip. Hopefully the Spring will allow everyone to travel. What are the braces you put on the mattress sheet? I've never seen them before. I learn soooo much from you. Can't believe it's been five weeks since you were out and about .. suppose your motorhome will be due a first service soon. I watched one of your 2018 France trips a couple of nights ago .. the return from France and pet passport. Did you do a video about getting the dogs their fit to travel inspection and the tapeworm treatment? I've not been to France but watching your videos is giving me a bit more courage to at least try it lol
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Bob take care wherever you are travelling to .. not sure what the weather is like with you but it's certainly grim here with high winds and rain/sleet .. granted I'm in Northern Ireland
Enjoy your adventures, we have just purchased a Swift Challenger 480 caravan 2010, pick it up in the new year a great start to the new year and we will be back on the road. 👍🏴🏴🏴👍🏴🏴🏴👍
We always find your videos very informative and helpful. We are new to caravaning this year and need all the help we can get. We have been to Moffat caravan site twice and like it very much. Plenty to see and do in and around the town and surrounding area. Keep the videos coming. We love to see little Poppy, she is so cute.
We are looking forward to seeing your latest adventure 👍 Have a great time where ever you go, enjoy and stay safe. Great video by the way to see the prep work for travel. Sorry may seem like a daft question but when your motorhome is parked up for weeks do you just periodically put on the heating or more frequently to prevent damp? We haven't got a motorhome yet but will have in the near future. 👍
Not a daft question, I leave it plugged in on mains hook up with the heating on about 11 degrees, just keeps the damp out but doesn't use a whole load of electricity.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Thank you. 👍 That sounds like the ideal option at 11 degrees. I was curious because of our British climate at this time of year and the economics of running on mains electricity. Thank you for the response and I hope you both have a lovely time and of course not forgetting Poppy as well .😊👍 I have learnt so much from your excellent video's . Thanks again.
Enjoy and keep going with the great videos. As someone considering the purchase of a motor home next year, they are hugely helpful and informative. Thanks!

No, I believe you can do more harm than good because the engine never warms up properly unless you go for a good drive, say 20mins. Possibly take it for a drive once a month. With our motorhome on hook-up, the batteries will stay in good condition.

We can’t get away just yet as we are in tier 3, we have a 69 plate motor home that we bought in January and have used 4 times due to this horrible virus and restrictions, when all this is over which it will be , our motor home is going to be used an awful lot to make up for lost time.
