That bubble is for when your tripod falls over you can tell if your camera lands on it's side in a level configuration.

A really good review. I had the Neewer Carbon Fibre head that even after regreasing was stiff or had excessive play. I have just taken delivery of the Kenro equivalent of the Movo GH800 mk2 (I am based in the UK) and it's infinitely better, Much smoother movement in both axis than the Neewer gimbal. I am pleased I saw this review, thank you again.

Decent vid. I can’t see mounting that much $$$$ gear on something that cheap. If any of them gimbals use bearings (might be bushings at the cost of these) , a high quality set of bearings would cost as much as the gimbals themselves. I’ll look for some of your other vids. Happy shooting.

I think you may have shorted the Neewer GM101 a bit. I have (had?) one that did not have the play you exhibited in the review. The Neewer Gimbaall's with the red trim are the newest and do have bearings. The older "pro" series is without bearings.
I say "had?" above because it fell off my truck on I-40, while attached to my tripod, and was run over by a couple semis and a few cars. Besides some scrapes, it appears to be functioning well. My tripod was a total loss, so I have nothing to mount it to and test it.

I am a little confused. You had a cheap gimbal that broke while holding an exotic piece of glass n an expensive state of the art body yet you replace it with essentially the same thing. I get that you didn't want to go PMG due to the cost but why didn't you look at the middle ground? The mid priced stuff will get you something with bearings instead of the bushings on the cheap stuff. The difference in performance from cheap to mid is astounding and very close to the expensive stuff. Did you look at a knock off? Perfect example is Leofoto PG-1 that is almost a perfect kock off of PMG KatanaJr. I'm sorry but I just can't get past your investment in cam/lens but not a head that you know has the potential break.

I bought that one when I first started. Many moons ago. It always worked fine until it sat for two years in the PA weather and humidity. When I got that lens I was working with Canon as a VERY new photographer and got a discount on it. I went from zero to sixty on about 1 year. From holding my first camera to to having an image displayed in Canon's corporate office and being displayed next to NAT GEO photographers. My other gear is mostly Canon, Really Right stuff.... My nature photography and using that lens was just to get into my first gallery. My budget was low....low. For this test my curiosity got the best of me and wanted to see if I could find something that worked. We will see.... Subscribe to new videos Button: bit.ly/3orJrgp

Hey Rusty, hope all is well. Just curious, did you go with the Movo? How do you like it?

Yes I did. It is down on Florida and I'm going to use it for the first time (not testing). We will see. Like I said...not Really Right stuff but worth the test I think. Subscribe to new videos Button: bit.ly/3orJrgp

Sorry my friend but I was doing that as I did it. If you were there with me I'm sure we would not be going much faster. Just think if I had made you sit through the opening of the boxes. BUT...I'm happy to look at the videos you have done to learn a little more. Could you give me the link. Always willing to learn. Subscribe to new videos Button: bit.ly/3orJrgp
