Also the romance between the Seeker-turned-Divine and the Inquisitor is the stuff that makes legendary tales for bards. As Cassandra said, I am also an optimist.
Varric would say it makes a better story than installing a spymaster or a conservative, power-hungry mage. The idealistic warrior whose first action of note was to save a Divine's life from a dragon attack, then avenging the next Divine by restoring the controversial Inquisition, only to become Divine herself after falling in love with the Inquisitor, rumored to be the Herald of Andraste.

The spymaster was more closer to Justinia than Cass, they have story together since Leliana's song, and even after the Blight, so it is fitting Leliana becomes her successor, Vivianne is a mage and will be a milestone in the story of the Andrastian Chantry to have one as Divine, one that is not only powerful in the magic arts but also in intelligence, and how she had to climb until reaching the sunburst throne. So, nah, I am very sure Varric will find any Divine as really good story.
As someone who identifies very much with Varric it’s hard to resist. When you find someone as serious as Cassandra something inside you just begs to fuck with them!

Better to not make her Divine. She will never be able to marry the Inquisitor or start a family, the romance would need to be done in secret. She deserves better.
Romanced Cassandra Divine is the best outcome to her and Thedas simultaneously. She is the best of the faithful in my opinion, her duty is to the Maker and the people, not to Chantry politics or dogma. There have been many popes in the real world who acted similarly and were very good to the people.
imo softened Leliana should be Divine(Its usually the things that take the most elaborate work that are meant to be "best ending"). Cass should stay with her bae.

My gathering of all the characters by the railing in the cutscene was significantly smaller that yours... I guess I learned my lesson that I need to do all their personal quests. Kind of disappointed when I had 4 less companions by the end (two of them always being in my party)..

She would like nothing more then to grab The Inquisitor and haul him off to her bed and make passionate love. Poor woman. Shes 'the divine' she makes the rules. If she wants the inquisitor then she just needs to change a rule & then he's all hers without repercussions. But if she wants to experience the forbidden fruit then she can just take him to her bed & potentially worry about a scandal later. But again she makes the rules the chantry lives by so.

I always figured that destroyed meant "buried under a lot of snow and rock" so two and a half years would be plenty enough time for them to dig it up and restore whatever was damaged. Plus the prison looked pretty solid and was underground so it probably wouldn't have been damaged as much. The tunnel under Haven the inquisitor escapes in did fare alright. Or maybe I'm overthinking, maybe all Ferelden prisons are constructed in the same manner, maybe they're in a place that just looks similar, maybe Bioware is pulling a DA2 on us. We may never know... until Bioware continues...when they have the time... and when the wind calls them...(Poorly made wind sounds)
