These elevators are famous across the elevator community. When Nick was staying at the Marriott Marquis, he filmed these famous elevators and was kind enough to allow me to upload his takes of the elevators here at this hotel. As we all know, these were modernized in 2019 to the Port Technology, and unfortunately, they keycarded these off and these are a bit hard to ride now. But anyways, these are still some amazing elevators and are still worth riding. However, there are some nearby hotel elevators that are not keyed off, but if the rate is good and you want to ride these elevators, it is best off to stay here.
I enjoyed filming this for you Liam!
Also, I didn’t show, but you can access any guest level once you are on a guest floor. Say the highest floor that the elevator is going to is 36, you can get off at 36, push 45 and then you won’t need a key to get to the top. So it is possible to still ride these without staying here
True

How can I get a card
You have to stay at the hotel
A bit of a shame that these got modernised and key-carded but at least they're still very fast.
I remember watching these lifts so many times plenty of years ago
Yikes I’m afraid of the height! While! I stand close to the glass of the Elevator I like the top floor! But it’s fine!
Why are the car doors 2 speed and the landing doors 1 speed. Youd think a 2-speed mechanism would weight more.
Top floor 49
The elevator skipped 9 through 22.
Those Floors are probably served by a different elevator.
Cars F & G are the only cars that go to Floor 9
They’re key carding the famous elevators of DieselDucy at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Almost all of them.
I saw that really wanted to get there
At least I got to ride them around ten months ago. I also rode the Hilton and Westin, which are already keycarded.
This will make the community upset. Then no one will film at them anymore. No more visits to those hotels. Smart Keyed.
@@mariokart8715 no more free online advertising for them
I think they only updated the exterior panels during this mod. The interior remains unchanged. Unfortunate that these are now being keyed off, but you were lucky to catch this!
Great elevators! Glad Nick got a video for you!
Very nice elevators👍
I wonder why the exterior doors are standard center opening but the inside at 2 speed center opening.
Nice
Part of the elevator is still original I can tell, like the floor indicator.
Hi
John Portman’s elevators are truly something to be in heaven with
Definitely
4:53 so he’s staying at 45
My room was on 24
@@bostonelevatorsaviation got it. I actually filmed these for real, so thanks for the help
My room will be 36
You can hitch with a guest
11:41 Car F is broken
It does talk when you do handicap mode, but it’s a different voice.
0:55 YES! LET’S GO! 😀
Not really, stupid key card.
@@carolinaelevatorseas what’s wrong with the key?
At least they’re not smart keyed.
@@mariokart8715 I hope not. I stayed there before, but I still hope they’re not smart keyed in case I stay in that hotel again.
I will try theses elevators sumday
I will try theses elevators sumday

Wow! C'est en France cette ascenseur ❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Ive been to the world’s tallest hotel, the Gevora Hotel in Dubai with Otis Skyrise 7m/s for 75 floors. Crazily fast!
I love fast elevators.
@@carolinaelevatorseas me too!
The tallest hotel in the US is the Atlanta Westin Peachtree Plaza. That’s 72 floors. Those elevators are smart keyed except for the scenic ones.
@@mariokart8715thats actually false. Just because it has a high floor count doesn’t mean its the tallest. The DB Courtyard Residence inn Central Park in NYC is the tallest by feet.
@@bostonelevatorsaviation also keycarded
Oh wait. The date is really far.
Top floor 49
It's a service area
@@carolinaelevatorseasthe actual top floor was 55 when these were Miconic 10’s
@@elevatingCLE55 doesn’t exist. That was a code for 49
@@bostonelevatorsaviation yea, as the old panels doesn't have the ID/keycard reader built-in so they temporarily set it to 55 for security reasons, plus it only works on certain floors or panels to preventing people from accessing it easily.
