Nice informative video but don't understand why you take off the mudguard. I have a new Brompton and have been able to fit the Q rack on without removing it. There is just space to fit the stop disc when you fit the rack where the Brompton was and also refitting the rear reflector where it was originally. Required a bit of force the fit the stays but not so much. Everything within a mm!
They all balanced on the ground. However, because the weight of Brompton is not balanced, the side will tilt a very tiny bit to one side. But it does not affect the overall rolling.
I suggest you buy some professional tools. Using those universal wrenches is just looking as if you are doing this once a year and there is a high risk you damage the screws.

Good video and quite a bit of weight saved. Personally, the standard of the welding would guarantee me keeping the standard rack.
You are very correct. The original is much stronger and better quality but just too heavy for me.
Check out an eazy wheel extender as well as this Q rack !

Well, after riding with my friend who own Brompton CHPT3, I like the look. Plus I am not expecting to ride on muddy road. That's why.
When u put on the Q rack, r all 4 wheels balanced on the ground or tip a little?? Tks
