Great stuff. I've believed the theory of roundness and softness for many years. But now i see more practical applications than i ever imagined before. Thanks. Grandi cose. Ho creduto alla teoria della rotondità e della morbidezza per molti anni. Ma ora vedo più applicazioni pratiche di quanto avessi mai immaginato prima. Grazie.

@@DanteBasili I'm glad to hear that. Each time I see one of your videos I am reminded that there are people, all over the world, who love knowledge, and who love sharing knowledge, and who believe that the greatest joy is to empower and uplift others, and to see those who may feel weak, and who may lack confidence in themselves, become confident, and generous, and strong. These dodges are for knife and sword/saber attack. If it's a bare knuckle fight, Traditional Martial Art will prefer to block the attack, what BruceLee called intercept by various means
If only Kung Fu practitioners did these more often! I always tell people that many Kung Fu styles are almost perfect as they DO have the necessary techniques for most scenarios, people just don't train them properly. The dodges that were shown on this video are also part of Boxing, and many boxers sure can dodge! But that's because they practice it frecuently

Excelente, pocos enseñan como realmente el cuerpo debe de fluir de manera armónica dentro del Kunfu o cualquier otra rama de las artes marciales 👏👏👏👏👏👍😎.
For anyone who is into effective martial arts this isn’t useless. It makes more sense if you’re doing this in a sword fight, and some moves can be applied as wrestling. Most traditional martial arts are for sword fights and forms of wrestling because that’s what was one of the only way to fight people effectively in those days when guns weren’t a thing. So if you wanted to defend yourself you’d either have to know how to grapple, because you’re not winning against a guy who has a sword with striking, or you have also have a sword with you, there are also bows and arrows which you can use to defend yourself but that wasn’t very a common method of self defence outside of wartime, this could be seen as a way to dodge arrows too if you’re nimble enough but I doubt it.
doing hema military saber and find evading much easier than blocking, when I block I get so much shock on arm it feels unpleasant, evading is more rewarding and leaves weapon arm open for immediate counter attack. But how to incorporate these evading techniques to when I hold 1 kg saber? I can't be flexible like that with heavy object that also should be ready to counter attack.
For those of you who dont believe in this method, just wait untill you find your self with one arm or your two hands are tie. You must train for what might never happen.
Sin ánimo de ser molesto, pero en honor a la verdad no veo claramente la lógica de este ejercicio de defensa personal,más bien parece una coreografía ¿ Cuál es el punto práctico y funcional? El de la evasión(?)
This reminds me of a little known American boxer, he was known for being untouchable. He beat all of his opponents by tiring them down before knocking them out, can't believe so few people even know of him but I guess it's because he wasn't such a great boxer but a genius at dodging. Also reminds me of a Sumo wrestler who once won by simply stepping out of the way of his charging opponent. 😆🤣😅
Ur talking about the drunken boxer. He wasn't that good of a boxer and lost because his hits had no power and his "expert" dodging got him hit alot. His highlights are far and few and his unorthodox dodging was easily countered after a round or two of boxing him. Anyone interested in him can look up real life drunken boxer
