Great update! As far as moderating the factory 10” barrel, my favorite solution is the aluminum threaded barrel band available on eBay. I have a few and the quality is great. Allows reinforcement at pump pivot pin too by drilling and tapping 8x32 screws into barrel band. I just finished a 1322/66 build and utilized this barrel band to keep things relatively short. 👍👍

Fully agree with your assessment. I've used that on a build and found it to be rock solid and reliable.

That sounds like a solid solution. I’d love to check it out. Thanks

Good update, Al! Always enjoy your work thoroughly. Not enough folks out there spreading the good word of Crosman! You can't beat them for affordability, reliability, and aftermarket support. I had also somehow not seen the moderators from airgunmods. Those things are pretty nifty! I bet they weigh basically nothing.

Thanks. Yes the AGM moderators are the lightest I’ve tested. They’re also efficient. The owner and designer also designed the TKO moderators which i really like. 👍🏻

@@AlsAirguns That's great to hear! I am thinking of getting one for an upcoming 3622 purchase once I hear back from them regarding its fitment and whether or not it will work with the 3622's fill port. Fingers crossed it is compatible!

@Arcahnslight, I believe AGM may be sending me a new 3622 specific moderator to test next week. I’m excited to put it on n the 3622. At 700 fps it’s pretty loud. I look forward to quieting that bark.

The Custom Shop barrels are Lothar Walther 12 rifle grooves over most others that are only 6 grooves.

Unfortunately not so my friend anyway not in the custom CO2 (2250 like) carbine.I’ve bought many including one with an 18” barrel. Until rather recently the only Lothar Walther barrels available in longer lengths were .177.
Although you may be correct about it being an LW barrel sourced from an alternate, more recent model. It’s certainly crowned and finished like a Lothar barrel.
You’re also correct about the number of lands and groves in Laws versus standard. I need to push a pellet through and count the marks from rifling.
Another fact in your favor (and I didn’t get there. You’re the one that probably nailed it) when I was velocity testing it this evening, I began to get the feeing that I was shooting a choked barrel. That also points to the owner to have swapped in a .22 cal 18” Lothar-Walther from another gun or ???
Thanks for the help! I’ll push a pellet through & see what we find. If you are correct the barrel is worth a dollar or two.

I forgot to mention that it was also a choked barrel. It was advertised this way when I ordered my 2240 from Crosman Custom Shop along with my camouflage carbine that I need to bring back out.🤠🇺🇸

      @AlsAirguns  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

When did you buy yours? I ordered an 18” years ago and don’t remember LWs in .22 being an option.
That being said you win 🥇 the prize 🏆 I just checked and it’s got the extra grooves on the pellet.
      THANK YOU 🙏
So pretty knowledgeable folks thought it was a choice Crosman barrel. I don’t think anyone including me thought the owner sourced and ported that barrel for his Rat Catcher.

With the adjustable trigger, trigger shoe, trigger stop, steel breech, muzzle break and wooden grips…you have one nice pistol.

In my opinion the only part I could see getting from the2250xl is the rear 88g tank adapter . Then I'd get a A 88g to hpa tank adapter for it and id also tap the air out let of the adapter with 1/4npt threads for fitting and line to theater it to the front removing gauge to feed line . Taping the adapter air out let hole 1/4npt the only thing needed for it to work of course it's got to be on a prod tube or discovery tube. Style build a paint ball tank stock make it look clean may be hard to find took me awhile to get the one I was looking for . Take it to another level also with less room for leaks and bad o rings replacement. Like the original set up. Also coast less 2250xl valve and transfer tube part with rear adapter are almost 100$ for it all new quite pricey 😅

That’s a super interesting idea. 💡 Like I said if feasible I’ll return it to stock but if not. Hmmm 🤔 I like your thinking 💭
The good news is I have very little in it (really lucky there) and the barrel turned out to be an 18” .22 cal Lothar-Walther that I’ve already repurposed. 👍🏻

Nice good score that usually what I put on my Benjamin/marauders LW there great some times also pricey try to make it up a little by putting my marauder barrel on my Crossman Breech ends cut remachined . Lately I have gotten a fx smooth twist slug barrel Im wanting to make a drop in kit for my benjarmin armada but I haven't got to it yet.😑👍✌️

I hear you but to me, what I love. Is it’s over engineered, overly complicated, Rube Goldberg design in an attempt to market the real profit target 🎯 88 gram CO2 cartridges. Given their dominance in the North American 12 gram CO2 capsules (in deference to our English friends, I know sorry to spell it like a Yank. 🙃 I believe that at the time they wanted the same position in the 88 gram market. It also gives me a designed by committee feeling.
“You know what they call a horse 🐎 designed by a committee?
      A CAMEL 🐫.” 😁😂🤣

There a front end piece that aluminum it add thread a retain the stock barrel. For the 13xx these are unbranded but They use to be sold under the name blue fork from hpa sports wich is no longer closed because of differences between owners. I own one of the front peace but mine for a shrouded 1322. I also have the AR trigger grip housing made out of aluminum . Rare now. I also have some that were 3d painted I was doing some R and D for a guy on ebay he also new of the company and people I got the original aluminum AR style Crossman housing from. But didn't want to discuss it. My 3d print look just like the one walnut and steal just pick up.👍✌️
