In May of 2023, I bought this Duracell PowerBlock 500 at Costco for a couple of camping trips I had coming up. I like to take a freezer camping because it is as insulated as most coolers, holds more and sometimes I can plug it in. If I fill it with 2-liter soda bottles and freeze them for a day or two, I don't have to buy ice and when it melts, the water stays in the bottle instead of making all of my food soggy. I wanted to take some ice cream camping along with wanting to power all of my camera gear.
This power generator did everything it was supposed to do all summer long. After camping season was over I put it in our shed to power one of our mesh routers. Last winter we had a few days of negative temps and batteries don't like to be that cold. It died and there was no bringing it back.
It can only be found on eBay and there are better options out for the money now.

I'm only slightly jealous of your setup.😅
When camping I generally use two AGM Duracell 80ah batteries and a 100 watt Duracell inverter and it does a good job of charging up our devices and my son's e-bike for 2 to 3-day weekend.
That sounds perfect. Being able to charge an e-bike for a few days is awesome. This was my first attempt at comfort camping using a couple of deep cycle batteries and a couple small solar panels. th-cam.com/video/v_4UavPziWA/w-d-xo.html With my recent mobile set-up, th-cam.com/video/x8ghFbE9TYE/w-d-xo.html camping is like being at home. I need to get a trailer to set it up in though. Thanks for leaving your comment.
What solar panel did you connect to? We have a Massimo 200w foldable. Keeps the Powerblock continuously charged when off grid.
I kept the battery in the box for almost two years and never used it. Now it won’t charge at all and duracell says it’s discontinued. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot it? Thanks 😊
