When on a motorbike, you can't be sure of any valuables being safe while you're away from them. At least while you're in a car, you can hide all valuables inside the car's trunk, putting them out of sight. Hiding them removes them from temptation.

When I drive to the public beach for a dip, I only wear a short, tee shirt, license, bath towel. I bury the license under the towel and shirt and gaze as I enjoy the beach.

There are good kuya’s in Philippines!!
