@@stever4651 2003 is the last year for the crossover right under your air filter. So you have an aftermarket full exhaust.. I think the 2003's and older are ugly.. the way they did their crossover pipe. google the year and look at a picture of a stock set up the crossovers right under your air filter. by your carburetor. I have a 2007 Sportster 1200 Custom fuel injected. Just took off the stock slip ons and replaced with Rush brand slip ones with baffles installed. The bike sounds great! However, I have noticed some popping on deceleration some of the times. Is this normal?

So then it’s definitely not normal to get some popping on deceleration? I’m not really trying to spend hundreds of dollars on a fuel pack to be honest.
@@DerekEvan Some popping is normal when going with Rush slip-ons. It will not be a problem not running a program. Will respond well, and no codes will appear.

You do not have to tune with slip ons I have a 2009 sportster and Harley shop told me NO you don’t need to tune with a fuel injected bike unless you get a full exhaust kit OR if you remove the air box with a aftermarket airbox and slip ons. But slip ons by themselves no tuning is necessary
Happy to help. If there slip ons. that have the baffles undo the hardware remove the slip on face it down and you might have to tap that baffle inside the pipe out a little bit so it slides out. I have a 2006 Sportster 883 custom that i put Wyatt Gatling drag pipe muffler replacements. They have the nipple for the crossover and a screen style baffle. I also replaced the ham can with a circle shaped gauze air cleaner open element type. Now the bike needs to be re jetted for the mid range, not much pull from like 2000 to 4000. Where would be a good starting point?
My sportster has screaming eagle exhaust and the previous owner removed the baffles. Looks and rides great but it is a little too loud for my taste. Would it be easier to insert new baffles? or just purchase new slip ons? Thanks Rocco!

Hello Rocco, "Advice Please" I have Screaming Eagle slip on mufflers with stock air filter. I plan to add a K&N Filter...I know bikes are lean from factory...I plan on putting in 48 Pilot Jet, and 185 Main jet... Add 3 washers to slide needle, and 2 turns on air screw...Does that sound about right? thanks for the Help/Advice:)

Great video, I just finished installing the exact muffler by EMGO. With this video, it wasn’t that difficult. The OEM mufflers can be stubborn to get off. With PB Blaster the came off. I did not do anything any different than the video guided. Man the EMGO sound awesome! Thanks.

I just bought a 2007 Sportster 1200 and my front forks look dingy. Do you how how I could shine them up so they look good again?

I loosen the flanges up, that just held it in place and if you notice have my hand on it, trying to just do it back and forth to it worked it out. I've done it more than a couple times. Taking these pipes apart are not easy after years in place.

I'm thinking about adding slip-ons to 2000 Sportster 883 if so will I have to re jet the carb
I put these on my 09 1200c it ran like total crap until I reset the ecm by turning the key from off to on 6 times.

Great video, I just finished installing the exact muffler by EMGO. With this video, it wasn’t that difficult. The OEM mufflers can be stubborn to get off. With PB Blaster the came off. I did not do anything any different than the video guided. Man the EMGO sound awesome! Thanks.

Did you remove any baffles that came inside the slip ons or are they just all pipe inside?
There is a baffle, but we did not remove..You can, I don't recommend. You will then have to get a fuel program. Let us know how it works out.
Two Wheel Rocco I wouldn’t remove it either. I wouldn’t want to have to do any programming adjustments. I do have another question for you though... your front forks look brand new. I just bought a 2007 Sportster 1200 and my front forks look dingy. Do you how how I could shine them up so they look good again?

That must be hard on the exhaust flange.
I loosen the flanges up, that just held it in place and if you notice have my hand on it, trying to just do it back and forth to it worked it out. I've done it more than a couple times. Taking these pipes apart are not easy after years in place.

For slip ons do you have to adjust the carb or anything like that?

@@jason471 what pipe or slip on are you removing these baffles from? If it's the stock Harley Davidson pipes and you're cutting the baffles out, don't do it.
