Hi, Sarah. I know this video is a couple of years old, but Lo Scarabeo also published a deck called Ancient Italian Tarot. The issues you brought up with the LS deck you have are not present in the Ancient Italian. The backs are a lot more beautiful, too. It's a little over $20. The only one I have is the Il Meneghello version. It's so beautiful. The colors are delightful. The figures so elegant and graceful. Thanks for the video.
I'm so excited I found your channel. I bought the Il Meneghello edition 'by accident'. They reprinted the Il La Corte deck (that I have wanted since I found Tarot Tube in 2019) but i missed the 2nd? printing. They have done a 3rd? with a run of 2000. The shipping was the same price as the deck so I felt I had to pick something else and the title card seemed interesting so I bought it. Definitely an impulse buy. I don't want to give the impression that buying decks from Europe is a common thing for me 🤣. I have this deck and I am sooooo in love. I want to read with it. I am happy to see there are some mass makert versions that I can buy and learn with but I'm going to use this Italian deck to read with. I just love it. It really makes me happy. It's like sunshine in a deck of cards 🌻🥰
This video may date back four years but WOW am I glad to have stumbled across it when I did! I've been teeter-tottering back and forth over whether to get the I Naibi for years now, and decided to look for walkthroughs online... And your video has been most helpful! Like you, I don't tend to lean towards Renaissance-style decks (or Medieval for that matter), but there is something so captivating and whimsical about Vacchetta's Naibi. Hearing all the nuggets of knowledge you've shared here has only whet my appetite further, so thank you! I've also downloaded the black and white version of the card images you shared and am sorely tempted to colour my own version of the deck. I wish I could print the b&w onto watercolour paper so I could do it in the medium I prefer, but it's much too thick for my printer. Mayhaps I'll give it a go on some Tomoe River paper (used in Hobonichi journals; watercolour and fountain pen ink friendly!), then scan them and print them out via Make Playing Cards? I'd love to know if you ended up colouring your own version! Thanks again for sharing your wealth of information with the Internet, I'm ever so grateful (:
Hey! I know that this is an older video, but I just wanted to thank you for making this! I started looking into this deck recently and really love it. I ordered the Il Meneghello version and can definitely see myself getting the Lo Scarabeo one too (but I would trim it…). Thank you for sharing your research and insights into this beautiful deck!
Yay, happy to meet another Vacchetta fan! I had a lot of fun doing this comparison. I agree about the Lo Scarabeo - I think I like the coloration the best (but I kept the Il Meneghello).
Thank you for this video. After watching I think i'm going to color my own, laminate it and use it for practice and if I'm going to go out to an event where I would worry about my Il Menghello version (i.e. family backyard BBQ -umm when we can go back to hanging out with family and friends 🤨)
Thanks for the reminder! Yes, they're now on my website... waterchildtarot.com Please use #coloringvacchetta here and/or on Instagram if you decide to color your own.

Thank you for this helpful video. I can see that a lot of time and effort went into it. I really enjoyed it. :)

@@WaterChildTarot thank you very much. Vacchetta's deck was my first one. I love it!
