funny thing about monster trucks: they make surprisingly good boats in the real world. the tires float great and the exaggerated treads make them passable paddle wheels as long as a decent portion of the wheel remains above the water they ain't exactly a speedboat but most of the trucks I've seen someone try this with still make a good jog or a slow run (speed depends mostly on the tire type, one of 'em even got well into the 30s because it's tires were damned near built for the job but it was kinda spraying water everywhere within about a hundred feet of the truck) and they are damned near impossible to sink provided that the wheels are actually solidly attached to the truck...which is less of a sure thing than you'd think since most of these things are made by complete dumbasses. all that said please don't actually do that, you're basically just _pouring_ oil and crap into the water and working grit into every last crevice in the truck, it also tends to be illegal in fairly hilarious ways but I think that is more because cops see it and think "okay, there is NO. WAY. that that isn't breaking a law of some sort" and start looking things up. ^turns out a lot of boating laws are basically written by the people intending to abuse them because water transport is integral to industry basically everywhere so you can get away with *WAY* more than you'd think, which means they've got to get pretty creative.
