Dear Nicolas. I would have never ever added the avocado to the rest of the dish because it was not only not fresh at all, but completely rotten I'm afraid! Despite this, I really enjoyed a lot your video. Go ahead! My advice to see wether an avocado is ripe and ready to be eaten or not when you want to buy one is to check out the point where the avocado joints with its peduncule. If its brown, the avocado is already in bad condition but if its green and the bottom of the avocado feels a little bit soft to the touch, then the avocado is ready and in perfect condition to be bought and eaten! Greetings Luis Manuel from Costa Rica.

It's probably been said but a teapot without a lid is a great container for a small bouquet of flowers to set on a side table, mantelpiece, or your desk.
Have you looked for a lid for that teapot at Replacements in North Carolina? They are absolutely amazing if you need missing pieces to anything... Replacements behind the scenes tour video is amazing. Also, their "vintage to vogue" video on how to swap around pieces to get different place settings for a different feel every time. My favorite tea sets right now are from Grace Teawear.
All very pleasant Nicholas….except there has never been a pandemic !…forget the china snd homewares for a bit and do your proper research …it’s the biggest scam in history. All planned years ago.
Absolutely lovely video. Love how you are like us in that items have sentimental stories behind them and you keep them! We so do love that about you Nicolas! I could almost smell the aroma of your teas! We got to try them! Have a blessed weekend!
I loved seeing all your teaware and decorative table accessories! Just a note: @5:35 the green on top suggests this is probably a turnip rather than a red onion 💕
The avocado was past it’s prime for sure! Lol Loved all your beautiful dishes, what a great collection you have. Love your video’s, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your memories of having tea at your Grandmother's house and how it influenced you to create your channel and your products! Know she is beaming!
I absolutely adore the authentic, unapologetic approach you take to the items that become part of your home. No matter how big or how small, each piece has a wonderful reason for being there; it could be a cabbage milk jug, to add a bit of whimsy to the table while sharing tea with a friend, or it could be chalk painting a piece of furniture in a fresh new shade by Annie Sloan. I just love how nothing is about monetary value to you; it is genuinely the emotive experience that drives you and that is what sets you apart from so many others Nicolas, in what is unfortunately, a throw a way society. You really are showing us how to live more beautifully. Thank you and I hope you and Sophie have a wonderful weekend ☀️🐶💖
Love the fact you make porridge for your friends! Porridge is amazing made correctly... Your "new fortitude" style is a great and good looking style for you... :-)
I love your videos! You create such a beautiful atmosphere of comfort and cosiness. Can't even put into words how much they help me calm down, clear my mind, stay present in the moment, feel relaxed, and just enjoy life. Have a lovely week!
If you ever go to Los Angeles you may want to visit the Walt Disney Concert Hall, home of the LA Philharmonic. There is a rooftop garden which has of a fountain made out of broken pieces of delft porcelain. This is significant because Walt Disney’s widow, who donated $50 million to the concert hall’s construction, liked to collect delft porcelain. The building is open to the public for free. You have to pay to see a concert but everyone has free access to the building and it’s surrounding restaurants and gardens.
Video with all of the informative tidbits was absolutely great. I really wanted to see a close up of all of the items that were displayed on the table as you spoke of them. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations, Nicholas, on your new line of tea products. As always, I appreciate all the tips I receive on decorating and entertaining. You have such a way with putting items together in order to make a cohesive whole. Like anything, it just takes practice, trial and error, and someone like you to demonstrate how!
Your apartment gets better and better! Exquisite China is fun and gorgeous. Also.... Loved the cooking segment today. Vanessa got a much needed treat, too!! Thank you for a relaxing video.... As usual!! Happy spring!!
Hi Nicolas! I share your passion for china and table settings. I love having different sets for different moods and occasions like brunch, a light summer dinner, autumnal Thanksgiving, tea time, etc. It’s so much fun! I recently found a terrific green set made in Portugal that has a slight uneven pottery feel to it, yet it is hard chinaware. That is actually the drawback of the cabbage ware which I also love and have numerous pieces of, that I have never seen it in chinaware but always in crockery ware, which chips so easily. 😏 As far as cups and saucers go, I agree with you so much. Mugs are fine but there’s something elegant and elevated about a fine teacup WITH a saucer. I really don’t like the look of a breakfast table, let’s say, where a mug sits flat-footedly next to the plate. It’s just sad. Lol. - All the best and more success with your channel and business 👍🏻
Congratulations on your new tea collection Nicholas. Looking forward to being able to taste it. Love the tea set from my native Ireland!! Salad looked delicious too.
I love china and like your taste but I found watching this video frustrating as the objects were so far away from the camera that with the exception of a few quick closeups, they were difficult to see. 🙁
Carissimo Nicolò! What a nice collection you are creating! You will soon need a butler’s pantry! I share your enthusiasm for dishes in the form of shells, flowers, vegetables, and animals. Like yours, my collection keeps growing! The most difficult articles to store are cups and saucers as the cups take so much space. Antique cups without handles stack nicely and often have those deep saucers that are so elegant. I grew up in California in the middle of an avocado grove. I know about avocados! You should have asked for a replacement or a refund for the avocado you received. I hope it did not have worms. Getting good avocados is difficult now. Stores that sell them know nothing about what a fragile fruit they are and nothing about handling them. Just last week I watched untrained young man tossing avocados in to a bin to sell as if they were tennis balls. Another day the display gave way and they all hit the floor and were merely put back in place for unsuspecting buyers to buy at $3.00 each. People are not trained to handle them correctly. I buy avocados when I am spending time in Italy. There the green grocer takes them from the box. The molded sheets of cardboard used to keep the fruit from touching and knocking about are used to protect the avocados from bruising. Of course in Italy, the vendor is the only person to touch their veggies and that prevents shoppers from doing the careless things they do. The world needs to protect the avocado from ignorant vendors and customers who create bruised fruit for unsuspecting customers to buy. There is nothing worse than licking your chops all the way home preparing for eating that delicious avocado and finding at the last moment it is inedible and you paid all that money for nothing. Ever went to the trouble to return to the store for a refund? By the time you eat your meal and return to the store, if they are open, the avocado will be black - unless you went to the expense of squeezing a lemon on it - an added expense to make your point…. But a photo might be more helpful. The best thing to do is to live in an area where avocados grow and grow your own - but NEVER eat those avocados found on the ground under the tree……..
Greetings Nicolas. So refreshing to watch how much you appreciate fine china and tableware. I do as well and I use my china everyday, not just for special occasions. Very important to note that surrounding ourselves in the beauty of our treasures brings happiness and many wonderful memories of when we were children and were finally able to sit at the grownups table. How carefully and gingerly we handled mother's finest pieces. Thank you for reminding us of those precious times with our families. With kindest regards, Toni Smith
Just ordered a set of your lovely tea. I was so pleased to see that you collaborated with a local business in Edinburgh. This makes it all the more special. Thank you Nicholas.
Hi Nicholas, love your videos of who you are and how you live. Wonderful tips and peaceful watching. Just what we need. Can I make a suggestion re your lidless teapot. This happened to me some years ago and I never wanted to throw out the pot. So I re purposed it. I bought an African violet plant (you can chose which colour that works with your pot), then put some small pebbles inside the base of the pot. Then added enough plant compost that would allow the plant to be placed on top. It depends on the amount of soil around your plant when you purchase it. Place the plant inside and distribute soil around it. The great thing about this is that you can water the plant through the teapot spout. I have tried it with other plants but violets seem to summon up the essence of an afternoon British tea. It really works and would suit your style perfectly. It can even be an addition to your tea table. Hope this idea inspires you even more. Best wishes
I always enjoy watching your channel. The first teapot you ever got without the lid if you can get a replacement lid you should because it is such a beautiful teapot and tea set.
Personally I love Hello Fresh! A friend and I both get boxes and we cook while talking on the phone... it's become a pleasant weekly ritual. I think perhaps only once or twice did I get ingredients that were past their prime (I live in central Canada). I think their recipes are the best of all the meal delivery services and I often reuse them.
Beautiful sets and such lovely gifts. I love the overstuffed chair, I also love the table there. Your teas sound so lovely and aromatic, must check them out. Thank you again, Nicholas.
Lovely episode and excited for the teas… Only one disappointment was that I couldn’t see every china piece in detail when you talked about them. Your new living room arrangement is lovely….💗
Hi Nicolas....your silverware looks so shiny and beautiful. How do you clean your silverware? I've tried many ways to clean but it still does not come out perfect like yours. Thanks!
We tried Hello Fresh. Probably not for us, because we have no problem with the shopping for food. We are frugal, experienced shoppers. We did like the flavor of the meals we tried, and for those who enjoy food prep and cooking, but just not the shopping, this will satisfy your need to cook. The recipe card is great. If you don’t want all the chopping, etc, this might not be for you, because there are multiple steps to get the meal together. Everything we ordered was tasty, and I think it’s a great way to go for the right person.
Loved seeing the China and hearing about tea with your grandma. Enjoyed the review on your new tea products. They are sold out so congratulations. I signed up on the tea email wait list. Thanks for another soothingly great video.
I’ve been re-watching most of your videos, I’m in a Nicolas Fairford mood these days 😊 So delightful to learn about the background of your table wear, beautiful to know the stories behind each piece and the teas sound divine! Also such good tips you’ve shared!

Look forward to your next video.
I enjoyed the segment when you were sharing your various tea sets and fine chinaware. I don’t entertain at home as much as I did years ago. All my silverware and china hasn’t seen the light of day in decades 😬. You’ve inspired me to go through my collections. I might discover treasures that I’ve forgotten about. I’ve been somewhat hesitant to using a meal service like HelloFresh. There are still a number of them in the LA area. I find it funny that people in my building have the food delivered but it sits in the mailroom for days. 🤔🤨. The salad you prepared looks delicious and healthy. I would add a little protein like a chicken breast or a little hanger steak leftovers to round it out. Thank you for another enjoyable vlog. Have a great rest of the weekend. 👍🙏😎
Hello 👋 Nicholas and a very happy Friday to you 😊. Thank you for sharing the memories behind your beautiful tea sets and pieces. My nana would take cracked or broken tea pots and fix them to use as small flower pots around her kitchen and patio. My dad’s British, so I grew up on tea. I was so excited to get your news letter and am looking forward to trying the blends. Very reasonable price for the 3 pack and so lovely 🥰 to look at. Great video and tips as always! You could use that lovely china teapot for a floral arrangement so don't throw it out! lol Love the Cabbage pitcher, charming. I bought the Royal Dalton "Bunnykins" china set of plate, bowl and cup for my three daughters when they were little. They show bunnies dressed up in clothing like the old postcards that showed cats dressed up in clothing doing things we humans do. Also, am getting rid of a Limoges set of cups and saucers because I think they're for espresso since they're too small for tea. Enjoy those yummy looking healthy salads! Unfortunately, avocadoes ripe quickly, hard sometimes to open up one without finding it brown inside. Thanks again~
Your very first tea set deserves a lid so it can be used and properly loved. Congratulations on your new tea products which I think will be hot market items. Your dinner looked delicious. Thanks Nicolas🙏🏻❤️
Hi Nicolas, I really enjoyed this content and the music during the food prep was so groovy!! I share the same experience with my grandparents who inspired my love of tea. They lived just down the street from us growing up and whenever I visited, which was everyday, my grandmother would ask me if I would like a cup of tea. She would always use a tea cup and saucer and told me it would warm my inners. I don't know if you have ever heard this saying. I am from Newfoundland and our accent and phrases stem from our Irish descent, however, we have a language of all our own and maybe this phrase is the case. She always had baked sweets that she hid in the spare room and secretly would whisper to me if I wanted one, so that my grandfather did not hear. He thought she ate too many! We quietly ate our cookies and squares while Nanny kept an ear out for my grandfather! The new tea product combinations are such a surprise. I expected a teapot or something. The packaging sure is very pretty with the gold trim. Another step up in your product launch. You must of really enjoyed learning about tea and putting your own together. Thank you for your video.
I love all of your dishes. Beautiful and meaningful, too! That is how I like to collect too. I have my very first tea set that I received when I was about 9 years old. It is doll sized but I was able to have many tea parties as a child with water! Ha! It has a teapot, creamer and a sugar bowl. I have cups, saucers and small plates for treats. I keep it in a very special place in my house. As of today it is 59 years old! Just a wonderful reminder of my childhood.
Congratulations on your teas !! The china is so beautiful ! I have my moms china, but haven't been able to use it much. It is a cream and stormy blue color in a Greek Key pattern with matching glasses. This was from 1960, very beautiful !!
I’d love to have an afternoon tea but I haven’t found a decaffeinated tea that I like. Herbal teas don’t always hit the spot. Regular tea would keep me awake all night. I love your videos. They are so relaxing and your home is lovely.
We have a wonderful Decaf Lemon Drop tea from Upton Tea Imports. We live in the U. S. I'm not sure if it's available everywhere, but the smell is divine. Herbal teas are just not the same.
A beautiful video Nicholas. Thank you fort taking the time to share your tea sets and for the beautiful launch of your refreshing looking teas. ☕️🌸 I collect what I can if vintage teacups and saucers and live teapots too, I do not have a lot of space for storing them all and it annoys my husband but that’s his problem 🤣 I NEED my teacups & saucers and teapots. I would love to see you use your silver tea service. I am waiting to receive your rose tea and your latest blend almond. Any updates when your line of teaware will be available?
Hi Nicholas, I understand freshening things up. Over the past week, I've replaced two dinette chairs with green wrought iron garden chairs to go with my vintage garden table and my nightstand with a beautifully shabby chic painted table. It was time for a change up. I like your tea and table ware. I have few tea cups and saucers that belonged to my mom. They are special. I want to add that your videos probably bring my blood pressure down about 10 points. Always wish the best to you. SnapDragon
Not to be a buzz kill but I live in Hawaii and grow avocados, so when I mention your avocado is seriously too ripe, it is. It is not fresh and the black sections are sour and uninviting. It is actually a good company so it must be very difficult to get a fresh avocado in Scotland in the early Spring.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice little story about having tea at your Grandmothers.
It's probably been said but a teapot without a lid is a great container for a small bouquet of flowers to set on a side table, mantelpiece,
or your desk.
I miss Replacements Limited! I grew up in the area and took it for granted while I was there.
Teas sound fabulous! I can see you are paring down your apartment - the mantel decor for instance. Everything looks lovely!
I ordered your tea and placed a Hello Fresh order. Looking forward to receiving both! Thanks, Nicolas.
Thanks for sharing your memories of having tea at your Grandmother's house and how it influenced you to create your channel and your products! Know she is beaming!
Nicolas, you needed to have a close up view of your chinaware.
What a very lovely and very true statement. Nicholas is really so genuine 😊
Agree! What a lovely comment 🥰
Love the fact you make porridge for your friends! Porridge is amazing made correctly... Your "new fortitude" style is a great and good looking style for you... :-)
When are you going to design your own like of tea ware (i.e. pots, cups, saucers and the patterns that will go on them)?
Congratulations on the tea collection☕!!! They look lovely.. I am so happy for you. Loved this episode💐
Congratulations on your new tea collection Nicholas. Looking forward to being able to taste it. Love the tea set from my native Ireland!! Salad looked delicious too.
I love your attention to beautiful packaging. Your botanical candle is heavenly!
Film closer to the table set to see items
The table looks lovely with all the natural light flowing in. Earl Grey is my absolute favorite tea and that looks delicious and a must-have.
Best wishes
My first tea set was from Laura Ashley and i still use it. The tea looks beautiful and i m eager to order some xxx
I always enjoy watching your channel. The first teapot you ever got without the lid if you can get a replacement lid you should because it is such a beautiful teapot and tea set.
I agree with you Debra. Someone order the lid for Nicolas. The beautiful first teapot deserves it.
I read about your tea in the newsletter! Congrats on your new products! 💕
Yes, they need to do cutaways and edit in the close ups. They probably forgot as they did do some of them, or ran out of time.
We love your videos, Nicolas! You should have your own show on TV! 😊
Congratulations on your new products Nicolas! So proud of you! ☕
the smile while you introduced your wordly teas! says it all. x
Your beautiful lidless teapot would be ideal to pop a small posey of flowers into. Perfect to complete a lovely table setting.
Loved seeing the China and hearing about tea with your grandma. Enjoyed the review on your new tea products. They are sold out so congratulations. I signed up on the tea email wait list. Thanks for another soothingly great video.
Loved this video…had a bit of everything. Congratulations on your tea launch!
Lovely memories have made you the gracious and cultured man you are at this time. You will continue to evolve further.
Nicholas, please move the camera closet for your older viewers💐
Hi Nicholas! I love china too. I’m just wondering, do you use tea cozies? If so, what are they like?
I’ve been re-watching most of your videos, I’m in a Nicolas Fairford mood these days 😊 So delightful to learn about the background of your table wear, beautiful to know the stories behind each piece and the teas sound divine! Also such good tips you’ve shared!
Thank you for letting us look at your beautiful tea ware. Your such a pleasure to sit down with each Friday evening. ❤️
I don't think I have seen anyone actually cook "Hello Fresh". Thank you for showing how you use "Hello Fresh" and I think I will be trying out Hello Fresh this week. ! You have beautiful dishware.
love the videos where you redecorate. It also gets me in the mood to rearrange my home! Nicolas, I have so appreciated your videos! Thank you for taking the time! Look forward to your next video.
You could use that teapot as a flower vase. 🌷
Fabulous and inspiring as always!
Thank you Nicholas! 🇨🇦
I really like how you redid your mantle with simplicity yet elegant. Thank you for another wonderful video. Hugs 🤗 to Sofie.
So lovely Lynda!!!
Hey Hi 😊 Since I was a little girl, I loved tea pots and played “tea parties” ! Wow 😳 GO NICHOLAS YOU’VE LAUNCHED A PRODUCT! Too happy for you! You’ve strived! Proud of you ♥️ I liked the preparation of Hello Fresh Great to see you and Vanessa 💥♥️
I wish you had done more close ups on the China as I didn't always see what you were talking about!
The kitchen back splash looks soooo much better! Makes everything look better!
That isnt his kitchen.
@@maineyor5662 I think I realized that after I commented. Oops.
Yeah!! A first look at the new kitchen tiles! Love them
Thats not his kitchen!! Its his friends 🙄
Love afternoon tea and enjoy baking now and then . I look forward to reading about how you came to make your teas. Have a beautiful weekend and take care, Natalie from Fife! xx xx
Nice job! Vegetarianism is brilliance! Thanks for inspiring good health, especially as Spring is in full swing & summer is coming, this reminds me to be mindful of my calorie and trim down to a better fit.
A few years ago I purchased a set of Noritake vintage china (settings for 8 including completer pieces) at a resale shop for $27.00. One of the best purchases I've ever made. I love beautiful china and teapots. Didn't know about silver keeping things hot!
Saludos desde Santa Fe, ARGENTINA 🇦🇷 It was a good idea to show your china ware. It was a pity that the camera was too far away and details couldn't be appreciated.
Looks forward to see you next Friday,
I ordered your tea as soon as I read your e-mail! I can't wait for it to arrive. I'm really looking forward to the tea.
So silver and silver plated tea and coffee pots keep liquids hotter longer. Good to know! 👍🏾 💜 THANK YOU.
Beautiful collection of china Nicolas! You arrange flowers in such a lovely way… you may want to use your teapot with the missing lid again for that purpose. I would love to see you use your silver tea service. I am waiting to receive your rose tea and your latest blend almond. Any updates when your line of teaware will be available?
Omg Florentine is one of my favorite patterns!!!! Lucky you!
You could put some fresh flowers in that pretty teacup that is missing the lid.
I once broke a tea cup and my husband was able to replace it. Look on the Internet and replace your top to your teapot.
Always check Replacements in North Carolina!
@@vickynay9863 I’m in Tennessee near the North Carolina state line..I actually have to go to NC a lot and your so right ! Replacements is 1 of the best , if not the best places to go. Not just to shop but repair as well. What a great recommendation as they do work outside the USA 😊👍
@@lyndabond1443 have you ever taken their tour?
Such a strong stance showing us the tea sets.
That side ways lamp shade is driving me crazy. lol Like the Tulips!
Nicolas the teapot without the top you could make a beautiful flower arrangement and put it in the center of your tea party table. I would love to see it, that’s a perfect vase for flowers.😊😊
