  • Monument Valley is one of the MOST photographed places on Earth! This great valley of vibrant red jutting buttes boasts sandstone masterpieces that tower at heights of 400 to 1,000 feet!! It's easy to see just why this is the most photographed place on Earth!
Overseen by the Navajo Nation, entry to the Monument Valley Tribal Park Loop Drive is on a "First Come, First Served" basis. Be sure to arrive early! The park entry fee is $8.00 per person, not per car, for the entire 17 Mile Loop Drive. They do NOT accept National Park Passes and card only payments, no cash payments for entry.
Be sure to bring your mask as the Navajo Nation does have a mask mandate in effect inside all buildings. At the visitor center, you can see the world-famous panorama of the Mitten and Merrick Buttes. Monument Valley spans 91,696 acres across both Utah & Arizona, with an elevation of 5,564 feet above sea level!
Pets are allowed, but must remain on leash. The off season is from October 1 - March 30, with hours of 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., 7 days a week, MST . We visited in October, but be sure to check out their website before planning your visit as this can change.

Great video guys, did y’all ever need 4wheel drive in the park?

Thanks for watching!! We did not need to use 4WD at all on the 17 mile loop. We have a Jeep Wrangler, we did see lots of low clearance cars driving with no problems!

Ok gotcha thanks for the info, I make videos out of South Carolina along with my wife and little girl, if y’all are ever in the area we can definitely recommend some good spots

How much time should someone plan to drive the 17 mile loop for and leisurely stop and take pictures of everything? 3 hours?

When we did our research before going, it was noted you are only allowed 2 hours in the 17 mile loop drive, but there was nobody there enforcing it. We spent 3 hours total on the drive, stopping to take pictures, film and enjoy the views. We went in early October which was the off season. It could change during the busier months where the 2 hour limit is enforced. If we weren’t filming, 2 hours would have been plenty of time! ☺️

Thank you. Maybe the 2 hours is a general rule of thumb guideline for people to voluntarily follow to prevent a traffic jam. I figure there could be a line for the horseback picture at John Ford point during peak season, and that could take a lot of time.

@@pfcjev yes, at times they have a line just to enter the drive, luckily there was no line when we arrived. The John Ford Point was also not busy when we were there, but they also were not out with the horse. We’ve yet to find a way to figure that info out yet

I'm going to guess that Mike is a Scorpio and Megan is a Gemini.
