🥋 If you don't feel like going to the dojo, you can always practise at home! Check out this video for some ladder drills you can do at home:

In my experience; most people make excuses not to go to the Dojo for lame reasons; not multiple serious ones. "I'm tired", or "I had a rough day at school/work" are typical excuses.
The best way to address this is to have an "account-abili-buddy". Someone you train with who keeps you honest with yourself. Someone to text you and make sure you're going to class. In my various training regimes, I've been accountabilibuddies with my Mom (Karate), girlfriend (Running), and other friends/coworkers (general fitness).

Absolutely! Accountability is so important. Great suggestion. Sometimes we do need a kick in the butt. But other times we might actually need more time for recovery. That's something the accountability buddy could do too. Help you figure out when you need that push, and when you actually need a night off. It can be tricky sometimes to figure out which is the case. Scheduling a shorter or less intense session can be helpful here too. If you've actually recovered enough, you'll figure it out during the training. If you haven't, you'll figure that out too.

Thank you for the realistic point of view, Sabrina. Feeling a little less guilty right now... honestly we tend to run into idealized scenarios or forcing situations due to our high standards. Need to readjust some of the stress factors to keep moving on. Thanks again!

Absolutely! That's the goal, right. To keep pushing forward. But rest and recovery are needed too, so we can be strong enough to push hard the rest of the time.

Question of the Day ⚡ What adjustments could you make to reduce your total stress load, so as to boost your recovery? (Some suggestions: getting more sleep, improving your diet, making time for relaxation every day, dealing with stress at work.) ➡️ I'd love to hear your thoughts below! 👇👇👇

It's hard to learn Martial Arts and have all these other commitments and responsibilities to deal with. Keep in mind that we're only human and we don't have the power to do everything.

Absolutely! If you're not running your own dojo or competing at an advanced level or pursuing martial arts as the entirety of your life, it is absolutely difficult to juggle it all at times. We're not samurai. Lol. Real life happens. Thanks for your comment!

    Depends on the instructor imo.
Sometimes a student can tap into the instructors energy and surpass their own limits of fatigue by doing so. Inspiration is a powerful force that mostly is not understood by many people. If a student can be motivated and inspired then the student will crave the interaction and make it happen.
For me, the most powerful motivation is... Well I think we've established what motivates me.

How bizarre. I was being completely sincere and not making juvenile jokes about your glorious assets and this happens.
