    One of the best sounding electronic drum sets IMHO.

    Justin... Dude, this is like the best video everrrrrrr! For someone like me who is in process of building an e-kit, hearing the sounds like this makes the decision on which module to buy just sooo much easier. The DTX Pro X is in my top 3... Maybe 2. Thanks for doing this and if you get the itch to do this with other modules, I wouldn't complain. 😁👍

      You need on board sounds? If not and using a VST like EZDrummer2 please have a look on the eDRUMin4 or 10. This device is amazing but doesn't make sound.

      @@Willam_J Let's see... I also like EF Note very much. They are just solid, natural sounds that make me smile. And like @DrumsInANutshell said, eDrumin4 with software is probably the ultimate in sound and flexibilty. Please keep in mind, good triggers make a huge difference too. 🙂

    I want to thank you personally Justin for helping me immensely in my 1st eDrumkit buy. So much great info! Hope you have as much fun doing this as your fans do watching 🙂
    I'm guitar and songwriting, learning keys and the time is right!
    As far as the new kit, module and cymbals, high hat and Kick swayed over small pads with the Yamaha 6K3! Much love and positivity from ATX

    I loved it and also not surprised this sounds like a beast, my current module is a humble DTX502 I have tweaked to the heart and right now I'm very very satisfied with the little machine.

    I absolutely love the sounds and features of both these new Yamaha modules. I absolutely would love to own this DTX10 kit Justin is playing. The hex rack is a beast, very strong and stable system. I don’t think I would want to gig with it personally. I’m very torn between buying td-27 module or DTX pro X. They similar in price, Yamaha a few hundred more expensive but has more features. Currently I have a td-17 and strike module, I can’t decide what to keep and what to get sell to try and fund my upgrade purchase

    Great mix of classically "drum" kits with a slew of electronic sounds. Such a versatile module. On top of these, the user can take any preset kit and tweak one pad or EQ it, combine in countless variations and make their own custom kits.

  • @ianmclean5541
    @ianmclean5541 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    From what I understand, any of those kits can be reduced back to the original studio recording and you can add in whatever effects you prefer. I’ve never been able to do that with any of my Roland modules.

    Hi,
    Just saw one of your earlier videos on crosstalk. I have a Roland td9 and my TomTom triggers changes to my drum kits.... Every time I hit it lightly or hard it switches to a different drum kit. Any idea how to fix this

    • @Beefnhammer
      @Beefnhammer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't sound like a crosstalk issue to me, It most likely means the MIDI note that your toms are currently assigned to are also assigned to what's called a program change function, in this case the function is to change kits. Sometimes this is a useful feature to change sounds while playing without having to fiddle with the module. Since you're on a TD-9, I would go into the MIDI menu (press SETUP and the F2 to get there) and see if either the Tx PC or Rx PC settings are set to 'ON'. If they are, change them to 'OFF' If that doesn't work, try the utility menu (SETUP then F3) to see if the 'pad switch' setting is off. It they're on, then turn them off.

    • @65Drums

      On this DTX10, I added a pad via the kick drum passthrough input, and then one of the extra inputs on the module for the second pad (if my memory is correct, it's been awhile)

    No offence meant by this......always get peoples back up immediately.
    I loved what you did, bu the same as with other people , you keep changing you playing.to suit the kit. For people trying to figure out if this stuff is worthwhile, that could mean a lot. Just play the same groove and change the kit.
