    You should use the use colour temperature instead of making the light colour yellow/orange/red or blue it’s just much more realistic looking

    which lights are best area light vs skydome or directional light for showing exterior of a house in maya

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A combination of skydome and directional lights should be a good idea for exterior lighting

      @@3dwolf can you tell that I have a issue that my ai fog is not covering my whole environment even increasing 1 lakh times in x y z values of ground ????

  • @varioustopics194
    @varioustopics194 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you linked your lights to the character and the round base? As it is not affecting the background…

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I kept the exposure value a little low so that it won't illuminate the background.
      I didn't unlink background from any of the lights.

    • @varioustopics194
      @varioustopics194 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @3DWolf Alright! I don't know, somehow in my scene it was still illuminating the BG, despite low exposure value... And one more thing happened when I saved the Arnold render view image it was very underexposed, do you have any idea on that?

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The unlink the background in live link editor and for the exposure go to save image option while saving rendered image and set it to high bit settings with aces mode.

      what type of lighting & material setup are you using?
      Also renders are going to be a little different because Maya uses arnold and Substance use Iray render engine.
      You can send me your renders on instagram so that I can help you further : @hitesh.3dwolf

    Why you turnoff normalize..?

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If normalized is enabled, you will be able to tweak the shadow softness by changing the size (i.e., radius) of the light, without affecting the amount of emitted light. This is very handy for artistic control. Otherwise, if not enabled, the amount of emitted light is proportional to the light's surface area.

    Why so many lights? In animation scenes, there is not that many lights around a character.

    • @3dwolf
      @3dwolf  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's not an animation scene.
