    I swapped out the exhaust fan in the main room with a Maxxair fan, couldn't be happier with it. Straightforward installation. Second upgrade was changing out the two valves for the hot and cold water drain that are located in the left rear of the camper. You'll notice a red and blue piece of Pex tubing sticking down. The drains are behind a panel on the back wall under the bottom bunk. I removed the valves from this location and replaced them with 1/4" turn ball valves so that they can be accessed from the exterior of the camper. I got the valves off of amazon. They sell them as a two-pack red & blue for easy identification. I had already owned a Pex crimping tool, so I didn't need to purchase it. If you don't own one and you know a plumber maybe, they'll let you borrow theirs or do it for you. Happy camping!

      Nice! A few months ago I made an access door for those valves. Hinged on one side and a magnetic cabinet lock on the other. Agreed on the pex tool, I have a friend that has one.
      Thanks for the advise!

    Nice video thanks for the info you have given. I went and saw one last week...couldn't believe what they are leaving off these trailers after they list these at inflated prices and how delicately built they are. Plus the fans are a joke! the roof is low in the shower and the sky light, which adds height, was so tiny my head barely fit! The showermeiser is no longer included, which would have been a nice feature. And I can't believe after saving money on the cheap plastic toilet they couldn't at least put some sort of sink in the shower like other units do. The one I saw also had a dinette and the back cushions were completely vertical, like who sits like that? And they were very soft lacking any support. I could go on...but it bites that the US RV market is represented by such low standards and then the owner has to rebuild it or find a way to get it back to the dealer for XX-XXX days.
    The older stuff seems like it was built so much better! I had a 1996 Lazy Daze that was holding up beautifully, sold it a few years ago. It had quality craftsmanship throughout and solid wood cabinets and solid surface counter tops. I watched people remodel their Lazy Daze and laughed as they recounted the difficulty in removing the magazine rack from the wall, or pulling anything apart turned into several days because it took so many attempts. It is very sad to see how far the quality has fallen.
    Anyway, sorry for the long post...thanks for the video. I subscribed and look forward to seeing how this all plays out. Good luck to you on the repairs...hoping they help you out on it.

      Thanks c.m. I agree, most new trailers out there are poorly built, I’m sure the COVID weA had a lot to do with the current inventory out there. This in a sense was the lesser of the evils, plus we love the storage for a small duel axle trailer and the onboard power. We had problems to work through in our last trailer purchase as well, Just not this many. All the best finding your new trailer!!!

      Thanks. No doubt, there should be more to the room. At the same time it’s blind of fun setting it up the way you want it. Much appreciated!

      Hi Manny, thus far we are still at the stock mattress, that won’t last long. Thus far I would head to Brooklyn bedding. Not positive though.

    Just wondering if you know the hight of the trailer from the ground to the top of the AC unit? Is the ladder taller than the AC unit? I'm thinking of swapping out my current AC for one that comes on the FLX to get the overall trailer lower. Thanks

    • @Alzheimers-camper
      @Alzheimers-camper  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The ladder is 8” above roof line. The Truma AC is 10 3/4” above the roof line. So just a little over 10’ from the ground to the top of AC.

    Hello, have you had any issues with AC leak. We have the same trailer and recently started leaking inside through the panel. Please share your knowledge.

      Hi, thus far no. I know most all AC has a drain ( including household) they can get clogged and leak. The only other thing is the sealant around the AC roof is not holding up. I can’t offer to much help, I haven’t seen it yet.

    What’s the difference between the flx and regular 2100bh

    • @Alzheimers-camper
      @Alzheimers-camper  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The FLX has Lithium 290 amp hour battery, a 3000 watt inverter and 390 watts of solar. The regular micro as a 100 amp hour battery only. So the FLX is more of an off grid camper. It’s relatively self powered.

    • @Alzheimers-camper
      @Alzheimers-camper  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The battery is lithium much better to manage your power on lithium.

      @@Alzheimers-camper how much do these go for if you don’t mind me asking?

    • @Alzheimers-camper
      @Alzheimers-camper  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Too much. If I recall correctly we paid about $40,000 for ours in May. If I had to do it over again I would likely add the solar, lithium battery and inverter myself on a regular mini. My wife wanted it ready to go from the factory.
