- Since the White House, in Washtington, DC was first occupied in 1800, there have been 10 people who are known to have died inside the residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
The 10 famous people who died inside the White House include two U.S. Presidents, three First Ladies, a First Child and five others.

Thank you, Steve for giving us the taste of history. I had no idea that Abe Lincoln had a child that died young. I don't know if you heard the news that actress Stella Stevens just passed away on Feb. 17, I kind of totally forgotten about her.
Lincoln had 2 sons to die as children. His oldest, Robert, lived to adulthood. The 2nd, Edward, died before Lincoln became president.

I'd always heard that William Henry Harrison fell ill from giving his inaugural address in the pouring rain without a hat or overcoat on a very cold day and never recovered. Also, didn't the teenage son of Calvin Coolidge also die in the White House? He died of blood poisoning from a blister he developed while playing tennis on the White House court. President Coolidge was quoted as saying "when he died, all the glory of the Presidency died with him."
Yes, that was a very popular myth. Calvin Jr. was living in the White House at the time, but actually died at Walter Reed hospital. Thanks ILS!
I thought I was going to see Calvin Coolidge, Jr. in your list. He died at age 16 from an infected blister in 1924. Upon further research, I learned that he died at Walter Reed Hospital instead of the White House.
What's even crazier is that he got the blister while playing tennis on the White House tennis court

I grew up in Gainesville, Georgia and I did not know that the first Mrs. Wilson was buried in Rome, Georgia. I do that at the time she was giving birth to her first two children, Future President Wilson was at Bryn Mawr College at the time and sent his wife down to Gainesville to give birth to his children because he did not want them born on yankee soil
