Bill, First off what part of Alaska are you in? As mentioned I am 68 years of age living in central Missouri. There are many sites that I visit from time to time however after listening to your machine I have come to a conclusion. You care for your equipment. How do I know this? I did not hear any sounds of pins and bushings needing replacement. And you show that you lube your machine.. How many months of the year are you running the 50? Do you have a helper? Anyway without going into to much detail I have never been to Alaska but hopefully someday I will venture to your area and watch the Aurora Borealis. BTY we had the northern lights while I was riding my sled in NY. I had consumed a few brews and stopped for a bit and thought the world was coming to an end. It was beautiful. Sorry to be long winded but I am now awaiting with bated anticipation of your next challenge. Ken.
Hey Ken! I'm in Willow Alaska area. It is about an hour north of Anchorage. My 50 is new, maybe 300 hours on it. I do grease it every 8 - 10 hrs depending on what I've been doing. I run the machine from about June through September. I do use it during the winter when either we get a good dump of snow or when the snow piles start encroaching and need to be moved back.
