I truly enjoyed this video. What a great story. I cut the tail away from the bird and make a fan ,beard mount the cheap way or most common way but I know what to do with my next bird just pop it in the freezer and come to you to get the whole bird mounted. I'm in Maryland so your not far from me at all.

That lighter blonde turkey would be closer to leucistic than melanistic. A melanistic turkey would be darker or completely black. You do got a hell of a collection though. Did you ever finish the slam?
Its very very rare to see a die hard turkey guy like this. Its genrrally deer that guys go after. I wonder how many guys have killed deer in all 50 states? Or as many states that have deer?
I've never had a turkey mount done because I've never seen one done right. I wish you were closer to my location. Everyone seems to be good at deer, but don't want to put the effort into turkeys.

Leucistic is loss of pigment and Melanistic or Melanism is addition of pigment. That Turkey is Leucistic.
