When your Dad says let me break it so I won't be mad at you. You know you've got a good Dad who loves you very much!!!😁
He's not Hunters Dad, they just the same last name....
@@billsargent3407it wasn't Hunter who was trying to put the bolts in, it was Landon Paul's Son
@@billsargent3407 if you watched the episode in the beginning he was talking to his son not Hunter when they were installing the oil pan. I know Hunter isn't his kid!!!
So true when I was helping my heavy handed brother in law on his first hot rod he was bolting in the intake and just as I saw him getting close to full thread I said slow down too late and a few seconds later a stripped out bolt hole on the intake lol.
Or he loves the motor lol
The wife and I got to stop by your place to buy some merch while on vacation seeing the 5 national parks last week, I will say grandma lollie is the nicest person, had a great conversation with her. She let us take pictures of all the vehicles and a tour of new shop, the crew was recording so we stayed clear, chip and jill from Illinois, thank you, bonus we got to say hi to chads fab, he was there helping out…
Thanks for taking the time to talk to me and my family today. After the agonizing drive through Zion, meeting Paul, Shawn, Landon, Hunter and the moms was the boost I needed. Special thanks to Lolly for recommending an easier, less stressful drive back to Hurricane!
I drove tiny two lane road in the back country to get to Hurricane, it was a blast for me, I love those roads, but I could see it being stressful.
@@charlielivermanjr8837 driving through Zion was the stressful part. The way back on the back roads was nice.
We were out there a couple weeks ago and we took the back roads from hurricane to Glendale. County highway 43 was perfect. Zion is beautiful but I didn't need that headache.
@jodyzodl513 that's the route I took back to Hurricane.
Haha, Grandma Lolly knows her parts even better than Michelle! We need to see a little parts competition between them!❤❤😂😂👍👍
Yes , we need name that part . She is on it .
Shes had more time on this earth with the husband that fathered paul. I'd expect no less
Stopped using facebook years ago, life has been good. No problems getting scammed here.
Wow. Good on you. A working fuel level indicator. Show Matt how to do that.
Paul also could have used the Holley LIDAR (light radar) tank sending unit Tom Tom put on his truck in a May '24 video on his channel...it doesn't need any moving or mechanical parts that wear out or corrode inside the gas tank...it's just simple, accurate and reliable technology usage applied to an automotive need/application.
Matt has his own system. UNFORTUNATELY Matt is the only human on Earth who understands it.
Matt has his own system. Drive it 'til it sputters and quits. Then call part of the crew to bring gas. 😊😊😎
the gauge is not working yet
I would Ohm that thing before ever putting it in the tank. way too many different Ohm to gauge variations out there. I had a tank out of a 80-90 Bronco that I got just because it would fit between some frame rails, so i ordered a Ford style fuel gauge from Autometer and got some sending unit from a NAPA or such and it was all supposed to match up but it didn't. Autometer said in the very fine print in the instructions "will only work with factory Ford sending units" and mine didn't work. Have you checked out the one Tom from Matts channel put into something he was working on, it uses "lasers" to measure the level.

Paul, My Dad would say things like that. "If I break it, I won't be mad at you for breaking it." You are an awesome role model.
I’m 62, when I was a kid (over 50 years ago) I can remember our pastor at the time frequently telling us (congregation) that people want to be who-doed! (I know bad english, but it was his terminology.
Most scammers have a story that is not hard to see through if you stop and think about it.
My apologies sir but I have no clue what that means. I’m 38 and still a little boy😂
I agree from a older guy, almost 75, to many people are Sheeple and will believe almost any thing they are told.
To Scammer: What? I won a Trillion dollars and all you need is my credit and debit card, my social security number, my home address to ship it to me? Sure here is that information...
I'm 69 and I don't do much stuff on the internet ! I have 2 different Identity Theft Companies watching all of my stuff ! When Office of Personal Management in DC computers got hacked my wife and my information was stolen ! So I don't trust much of anything on computers ! I chuckled when I saw it.
My 19 year old son has a shirt with that on it.
Thats the Not so free trucks isn't that? Wonder if Landon put that sticker on or it came on the truck? :D
Yeah, I saw it and just shook my head. Hopefully, he's not into single moms.
this message is for Shawn, if you want to soak an awkward shape object use a plastic bag not a box
I was just going to type that
They'll figure it out if they see these few comments about it. I use a clear, thicker plastic bag and wrap it around/conform it nicely to an odd, long, bent or twisted part I need to soak. I put a few small pieces of duct tape here and there on the outside to hold the plastic together, up, down, around, whatever is needed to use less liquid and to submerge/cover what needs to be soaked etc. I also prop up, lift or cradle the bagged part in position to get the liquid where I need it inside.
Or you could seal one end with a small plastic bag and tape it on, hang the open end up and fill it.
It's useful if you want to put something in an ultrasonic cleaner with a solvent too.
Full the cleaner with water. Put your part in a bag (I use zip lock) add some alcohol or whatever to the bag. Drop it in and send it.
Useful too if it's really filthy and you don't want to throw out a whole batch of water.
It will probably eat through the plastic bag🤔🤔🤔💁🏼♂️
If someone is counterfeiting your merch- you've "arrived"❤
Right lol I mean it's one of those it's not good but it is good if you get what im saying lol
Kinda like Benchmade knives.
Hunter, my parents migrated to Australia. First generation and thought we must get a degree and we did. My school mates were getting paid doing pre apprenticeship during highschool, and by the time we finished school, they got a job. While we getting in debt in college they where getting experienced and paid. By the time we finished degree they had a house, decent car and started their own company. Civil engineering is good but you salary is kind of capped. Doing any trade is better as you could start your own company and choose your hrs. Trust me ur not missing anything not going college. You have an awsome job!
Anytime someone asks me for advice regarding career, I steer them away from college.
True.
At 55 years old, when asked if I would have done anything differently, I say, I would have gone to college.
Colledge is a scam by the system to make them money . A waist of time & money . & not promising of a job . Learn a trade
Nothing wrong with trades, you can do well but I was a framer and went back to school and got an architecture degree. I started my own practice and now 35 years later I am retiring. I am leaving a firm with 65 employees that grossed $18mil last year. My son is a mechanical engineer, 5 years out of school, makes $120k a year in the large diesel truck industry. Can't go wrong in the engineering and sciences. I would agree, a lot of the rest in college is a waste
If you go to college these days, all you’re gonna do is get all this woke stuff. Save your money. Go on a long vacation ❤
Hunter, technically, you are kinda at a trade school, which is far better than a college now. Your learning camera work, fabrication, vehicle building from the Fabrats school of trades..
Love you all and God bless.
4 fan thoughts. 1) I’m stealing “Jack Rabbit Disease”.
2) If the gas sending unit works- your buddy Matt can use your knowledge, and the part number.
3) Merch wise- We were star struck on our March visit with you guys and want to thank Grandma Loly for her kindness and the tour. All the shirts, hoodies and hats are very high quality and standing up well- thick! and saved us at the cold Off road Games. Great to meet you.
"Looks like a toilet float". Grandma Lolly never fails to deliver the best lines LOL But, "College ain't for everybody, Hunter", very very wise words!
It isn't just your channel. This is common place across a lot of youtube channels and people, should honestly, know better by now.
People arent very smart , they vote for biden. ! God help the sheeple & 🇺🇸 america
You would think but some still fall for it, unfortunately.
Ya, if a lot are getting scammed, the viewers here ain't the brightest lol.
You would think by now, but nope.
Definitely has a lot to do with the age of most his subscribers.. damn old timers....
Paul you need to adjust your sending unit like a true GM gas guage , it should not move till a half tank then drop like a rock to E .
I know that one very well.
🤣
😂😂😂
Thank you Paul and crew for sharing this with me !
Thanks for the scam alert, AGAIN!
Unfortunately, a lot of people still drive through the water over the road after being told not to.
HUNTER!! Bro, Don't kill crickets, they mean good luck and Prosperity!!
Came here to say just this. Crickets are good luck. Annoying, but they bring good luck. Just put it outside.
Yalls interactions with your kids make my heart warm
Don’t you know it is good luck if you have a cricket in your building? Poor little cricket. 🦗
I like how you guys actually admit you don’t know something instead of editing all that out to make it look like you know everything keep up the great work
Sean, Landon and Hunter...I use a clear, thicker plastic bag and wrap it around/conform it nicely to an odd, long, bent or twisted part I need to soak. I put a few small pieces of duct tape here and there on the outside to hold the plastic together, up, down, around, whatever is needed to use less liquid and to submerge/cover what needs to be soaked etc. I also prop up, lift or cradle the bagged part in position to get the liquid where I need it inside.
Nice oil pan! I worked at Moroso many years and their dedication to making a great product is caused by the Moroso Family's involvement in the business and a large number of employees considering Rick and his family to be personal friends. I consider Rick to be a friend to this day despite leaving the company over 20 years ago...
The CNC Machined Billet Oil Pan Rails were a game changer in oil pan design. They have always been looking for the edge in performance for oil pan design even to the extent that back in the '80's we built a Lexan Box Oil Pan for a Small Block Chevy so we could run it on the dyno and video the oil flows back into the pan to see exactly what we needed to do to control the windage in the oil pan.
Hey guys, is the old man in California in Perris, CA? If his last name is Whiting, that's my oldest brother. He's had a bunch of '55s. If not, he's still pretty cool for sending you stuff!

Another great day in the shop! Thanks for the Scam alert. Such a great atmosphere of fun and knowledge.
Ole girl is looking good. Can't wait to see her on the road
I had a little giggle at about 11:15 in the video when I noticed the office chairs they are sitting in, she has a really nice one and he has an old clapped out chair that looks broken and worn out. Somebody needs to send Paul a nice and comfy new office chair and toss that old one in the junk pile!! Later folks, gotta go for a scooter ride!!😁
You always bring something unique to the table, can't get enough!
Love your hair Michelle !!!
Crickets are considered good luck inside where you're working. Well, good luck...
On the blue obs the knocking sound when you turn off key,is the vent actuator. On the left side of the blower motor is the connector, unplug that and no more annoying knocking.
Hunter: When Shawn says something is about to drive him crazy, the correct reply is "it's a short trip!"
Good ol' Mormon crickets...where's a seagull when you need one! One time during a trip up I-5, we stopped at a Motel 6 where the road was slick with them. After settling in, at @ 11:00 pm, one started up in our room. It took an hour to search it down. Right after getting back to bed another one started up. About 6 crickets later, it was time to leave. I slept good when we got home.
Jase, Hunter and Landon will learn more working in the shop than they will in college. Trade School Grads built America and will rebuild it again in the future.
I would hookup the fuel gage outside next to the fuel tank. If the fuel tank is 20 gallons then fill it half way by using a gallon at a time into the tank. Then your gage should read half. If connector correctly... Just an idea... =)
So...... heres a tip next time when you use evapo rust on a tube shape object seal one end then fill it up
Yep, a suitable plastic bag sealed around the end - that way you can treat the external end and all the internals.
always mount sway bars with tires on ground full vehicle weight on all 4, then connect and adjust :)
wheel cribs help for doing this step so you can get under car...
Don't worry, Hunter. You are a very rounded and intelligent young man, and my son and daughter's hero. My son's because of your sense of humor and skill with a camera, and my daughter's because of your strapping looks. College is totally overrated these days. Go into a skills trade, and you will never go hungry. I'm teaching for 35 years now, and if I could choose again, I would not go to university. 58 is too late in life to make a change. Love the channel. Best wishes from Taiwan.
Three yutes in a regular cab tends to result in laughter, especially when its a manual! "Three youths, your honor." (My Cousin Vinny)
It's awesome that y'all invite y'all's fans to your house and hang out with them. Most TH-camrs don't want people to know where they live. I understand why they don't but it's still cool that y'all hang out with your fans
It was fun watching Paul get all that help on the gas tank! The key concept is that half a tank means the float arm is horizontal. You can always figure out the gauge reading later. One note: the filler neck on the '56 is WAY more trouble than the '55. Great project, can't wait to hear it run.
"There's a sucker born every minute." - PT Branum
PT Branum? Stay in school, kids. Spelling and proofreading are your friends. PT Barnum. 😂
Between Hunter, Land, and Shawn i cannot tell who the most adult is.
Shawn is at the very least the most focused
That poor little cricket...
Jiminy is very sad now.😞
Cricket HATERS!!!!!
You're busted!
You will now experience extended bad luck.
I would never intentionally kill a cricket.
Crickets are mostly good. They eat many things like larvae of other insects. They ARE attracted by garbage. So less garbage in the shop will help reduce the number of chirping visitors.
Besides, my older brother says that growing up I was his Jiminy Cricket because he was forever getting into trouble and I, being the naturally good kid was always telling him, "Larry, get out of there! Larry, stop doing that! Larry, No!"
He heard that so much that as an adult he goes by Eric. His nose is still real long though.
They're fine.. outside where they belong 😂
The circle of life ,there's worse ways a cricket could die.🙂😁😅
Looking good LANDON!!......I would suggest keep making yourself available to help Sean during the week and helping your dad with recoveries!!......You and your dad seem to work well together on your Sunday recoveries!!......And really challenging ones too!!
No matter what jobs you end up doing in life, (FYI - most people make 3-5 career changes in a lifetime......if so, no biggie), its how you treat people in your everyday interactions that count!!......Work is just the vehicle that allows for people to interact.
I would love to see that ‘55 candy rootbeer and cream twotone.
I just pictured that color in my head , would be a great color for the 55
My favorite combo, especially for trucks but good on sedans.
I used that exact same tank (after looking at dimensions and filler hose placements until my eyes glazed over) when I put a second aux tank on my 3rd gen 4Runner, it fit perfectly into the space where the spare tire used to be.

Danny Noonan (Hunter):
I've always wanted to go to college.
Judge Smails (Gma Lolly)):
Well, the world needs ditch diggers, too.
When I was in AP US History over 50 years ago, the teacher kept telling us students that if we didn't knuckle down and pay attention, we would wind up digging ditches for a living. Well, I was blocked from attending college by Affirmative Action programs. Because of my race and gender, I could only attend college IF I paid the full amount in front with cash. My cousin attended college for 17 years before he got a bachelor's degree.
But 20 years out of high school, I was #2 in a company that installed underground utilities and was making 4X as much as that teacher with all of his degrees ever made. It was a convoluted path to get there with times of minimum wage, constantly getting turned down for hiring into better jobs because of the same Affirmative Action programs. But by that time I owned a 4 bedroom house on acreage, with an 1800 sq ft garage/shop that held, among LOTS of tools and equipment, my champion offroad race car, had an RV parked outside, a pickup, a daily driver car, and a Baja Bug. My wife as a nurse made 2X as much as that teacher. When my construction work was slow, I owned a race car and play offroader fabrication business that also did movie sets and props. I could fall back on that any time other things weren't working out. That business of mine NEVER went belly up. It still exists but has been inactive since I retired.
The teacher had a nice 3 bedroom tract house with a still big mortgage due to refinance as he approached retirement and 1 car. He still mowed his own lawn and he would drop off and pickup his wife from her work. She also had a college degree and was working as a market cashier.
We paid off our mortgage shortly after we retired early.
So...Who did better in life?
Mr. 4 Batchelor degrees and 3 Master's?
Or me with a handful of college classes under my belt?
Paul, you also could have used the Holley LIDAR (light radar) tank sending unit Tom Tom put on his truck in a May '24 video on his channel...it doesn't need any moving or mechanical parts that wear out or corrode inside the gas tank...it's just simple, accurate and reliable technology usage applied to an automotive need/application.

If you have to take those rear swaybar links back off, maybe chunk a little hole in the middle of the U bilt and tack weld to the center so that U bolt is stuck up in there well.

That evapo-rust is an excellent product I used it when I rebuilt my 77 CJ5 and it does take it down to bare metal and you can reuse it and reuse it and reuse it just run it through a filter or cloth or something when you put it back in the container

Identify tank capacity, fill with water 1/2 of that amount. Measure or observe level in tank below sensor opening and that is 1/2 tank and that is where the 1/2 tank float needs to be.
