I remember watching an LP of this game in 2014, but I actually forgot about it until I saw this video. I also just realized that this game could be one reason why I fell in love with Over the Garden Wall (also released in 2014) as well as other "lost in the snowy woods" stories. It's a impactful game with a nice artstyle, which probably stuck with me even though I forgot what the game was called.
Over the Garden Wall is perfect, dammit. Love that show!

@Batter Sempai I remember watching Markiplier play through the entire game through and through, and for some reason, I thought it was this weird dream where I watched one of my favorite TH-camrs play a fucked up game I came up with. It turns out, it was not, but rather an amazing game with a weird, Gravity Falls esc Story (at least to me).
6:26 it's always interested me when creatures of folklore have similar counterparts in different countries. If I recall in Scottish folklore there's a being like that called a Kelpie.
That’s very true! It’s really interesting to see how some folklore seems to exist in similar forms in very different parts of the world.
I remember hearing stories about the Kelpie. Not by mouth, it was a video. The Kelpie is a shapeshifter. It can sometimes become a human but it prefers the form of a horse. Sometimes, it is helpful and other times it lures people to stroke it or ride and causes the person to stick to it. It then jumps in the river and drowns them.
I guess it is a bit like Bäckahästen.

My reason for not wanting to know my future is that it would make things boring. It would be boring because nothing would surprise me, I wouldn't be trying new things in a sense, and I'd be paranoid that I'm only doing these things because I knew they would happen rather than that actually being my real choice. Life is something to be experienced, not seen through a looking glass. That's my opinion anyway.
Looks like a fantastic game though. Scandinavian/Swedish/Icelandish folklore has always interested me. It's so obscure but the creatures are so cool.

that 'song where nightmares are made of' reminds me of the interlude of the nightmare lantern in hollow knight as they sound a little simulair, the nightmare lantern lit will cause grimm to appear, the king of nightmares, this cant be a coincidence it must be inspired some way or another!

Holy shit yesssss! Finally someone covers this game! This game is beyond a masterpiece. I played it years and years ago when it was first released on iOS and it was honestly it was eye opening.

Hey bro I noticed that your views have been going down since you started to do these types of videos. I personnaly love them but you definitely would get better views from creepypastas. I know I know, I saw your in back video and know you don't want to be 'that guy' but, if you don't want to do creepypastas you could try doing lets plays or something. I just don't want you to quit and want you to be happy with what you do and have a comfortable amount of views.
