    Once you have these so call Stents, what is the most efficient way to monitor these stents? My understanding CT or any other conventional tools can be useless since we now have shining material and cannot show much. Thanks Dr.

    Why don't you remove the cholesterol from patient instead of using stent?

      I think its because the cholesterol has hardened so removing it may pose the risk of rupturing the artery

      @@sonny4997 cant they just soften it then remove? It's still an organic compound, so they can develop some chemical to do this. Why fit something in the heart which is not natural. ? We already know that excersise and diet changes can have significant impact on our cholestrol level. So this idea still holds. Just we need to develop to do this rapidly for people at risk. I don't know about the details. But some expert can shed light on the matter.And when I say remove, I don't mean to manually scrap them out.

    So they are not clearing up the artery from the plaque deposits. They are just forcing the artery open permanently with a stem or balloon.

    Yea the wrist band is tight too uncomfortable

      I agree, Rachel. Heart attacks are worse, very uncomfortable.
