    Don't know what people are whining about. was this challenging? Yes. I did take me a while. Had to stop and rewind alot. But video was fine. I didn't need him to talk. I am very much a beginner. I completed it in 30 minutes with typing paper. If i didn't like the video, i would either watch a different one or just make my own. Since he is better than me, I'm not going to criticize. Good job.

    Awesome tutorial!
    I didn't have an 18x18 paper so I used a smaller one and now I have a very cute little origami turtle! Thanks! :)

    its a very attractive model, but very complex. i think origami looks best in complex level. but i say origami is the most beautiful when complex models are made to look good by clear and clarified method. thanks a lot for your wonderful effort and assistance. you have inspired us, kids to make the whole world with origami, an art with single piece of paper.

    I just watched the end, where some were saying it's a bit difficult. I did not see the problem and I am looking forward to folding this. I have folded from many of your tutorials and loved the results. I am getting better with each one :) Will let you know how I did. Oh, if I have too much trouble with it, probably means I'm not ready yet to fold it and will need more practice. So far, it looks pretty straight forward. Peace and Thank you for your great tut's!

    this is such a beautiful inspirational video... I think all the people who are cribbing here should first try to raise the level of their skill before complaining about someone else.. Kudos to you.. the turtle looks really sweet

    This is really cool, instructions are really clear and easy to follow however I got really stuck at the part where you fold the head and tail in to create a pleat and round the shell. Eventually gave up, just couldnt get my head round it. Any advice?

    you should use a non-white background because your paper has one white side that make it difficult to follow since they fuse in the video.

    @MariA-nw5qx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love this turtle! Much nicer than flat looking ones. But, as it looks more like a tortoise, I modified the front legs to resemble flippers the ocean turtle has (i.e. left extended/unfolded at 9:35).

    @KiyokoHikariMurasaki I really hate feeding trolls, but "I wasted a perfectly good piece of origami paper on your video" leads me to believe that you are nothing less than arrogant. This guy is on here showing his craft, which he is SO skilled at. I think you should thank him if anything. Origami is a trade that takes practice. Maybe if you had watched the video through before diving in headfirst, you'd have a turtle from your 'wasted' piece of Origami paper.

    I hope you didn't! Cardstock is a really heavy and thick kind of paper. This involves a lot of folding and creasing so it'll be super hard.

    @ROBLOXOrigami Card stock is just thicker paper yes? You can try...but the thicker the paper the harder it is to fold. Just try if you like...I've found some origami are actually nicer with thicker paper - while for other things I've used tissue paper

  • @Annaleebie
    @Annaleebie 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    What the butt is happening at 1:38? When I try that fold, I do not end up with a triangular point on the bottom of the paper, I end up with a muddled square. The left sign did not align with the right side at all, when it should have, because I followed the crease before when I folded the right side.

    Umm It's a Tortoise not a turtle. I think Japanese people use the same word for. Tortoise, Turtle, and Terrapin. I think they may have different words but just don't make the distinction. Put this fella in the sea and he would drown. Same with squid and cuttle fish this matters if you want to eat it.
