@@toxicpeeps I'm sorry for the late reply. I did take coaching but didn't attempt any mock; the exam tips and strategies was helpful. For coaching videos I'd recommend OpenTution as well as accowtancy. OpenTution content is fully free but the other one provides only a limited content.

Can someone please explain how these exams work? I’m new to ACCA and the applied knowledge exams are different in terms of booking them - they say I need a CBE centre. Why is this? Why is it different to the others?

I have degree in economics, but never did accounting as a profession (worked as an import manager). Now I’m considering doing ACCA and start accounting career in the UK. My question is about computer programs used in accounting. As I understand ACCA gives practical knowledge about accounting, but what about using computer programs? Do you learn about it while doing ACCA? Or I should undertake some other additional course that will teach me how to use computer programs used for accounting in UK?

I'm sorry for the late reply. I did take coaching but didn't attempt any mock; the exam tips and strategies was helpful.
For coaching videos I'd recommend OpenTution as well as accowtancy. OpenTution content is fully free but the other one provides only a limited content.

My question is about computer programs used in accounting. As I understand ACCA gives practical knowledge about accounting, but what about using computer programs? Do you learn about it while doing ACCA? Or I should undertake some other additional course that will teach me how to use computer programs used for accounting in UK?

Could I just ask from when you start the ACCA journey when will you qualify as a chartered accountant?
Also if you've completed a degree before this does it make it easier to pass or is ACCA too much challenging and difficult?

Hello Karishma 😀 You need at least 36 months of qualifying work experience, so at least 3 years and you can take up to 7 years to pass all of the strategic exams.
